Can someone help me custamize folder_big.gif

Post by SnowPunk98 »

I want to modify folder_big.gif a little but I am bad with photoshop, I want to have it look almost exactly the same except remove that paper or whatever it is and replace it with http://home.socal.rr.com/snowpunk98/finarrow.gif that and if possible just with the blue fin not the waves. If you could help I would apprecite it very much

Hi,

You need to customise more than one image to make a set as there is the new and hot folders in a smaller size also;

Edit - Image removed

I took that logo you made and cropped it and resized it so that it could also serve as folder.gif

Hi,

When the main phpBB site is operational you will be able to download the whole of the subSilver button/icon set.

Hi,

I don't use Photoshop, but try playing around with the Curves to get the colour.

I use both. I create brand new icons with FW, but usually edit/modify existing images/icons with PS.

blulegend - That would make sense, but I find Photoshop cumbersome and long-winded - probably partly because I am a drawing biased person.

Maybe I should play with PS more, but changing the colours in Fireworks is so easy once you have created the initial set of images as vectors. I do think Fireworks is lacking in its creation/editing of anything but basic shapes, that's why I use CorelDRAW.
