open overall_header.tpl, find this:

Code: Select all

.bodyline	{ background-color: {T_TD_COLOR2}; border: 1px {T_TH_COLOR1} solid; }
and replace with this:

Code: Select all

.bodyline	{ background-image: url(templates/subSilver/images/bg.gif); border: 1px {T_TH_COLOR1} solid; }
(replace with correct path to your background image)

Ok so I just replace that line with this one exaclty like this:

Code: Select all

.bodyline   { background-image: url(templates/subSilver/images/bg.gif); border: 1px {T_TH_COLOR1} solid; }

and upload the image to my templates/subSilver/images folder and just replace the "bg.gif" with my gif?

are you using custom template? If so, could be that it is using stylesheet form a separate file rather than in the code itself. Go to your templates/x/x.css where x is your template name and look for same kind of classname (.bodyline) and modify it

Don't forget to back up first though!

I whan't to change this color that is outside the actual forum (shown in the pic) to a background image insted of color... I looked in the overall_header.tpl file butt I found nothing... for those who didn't see it is the cold steel template...

I think your answer is the same as mine, probably in the .css file in the template folder. just go to the folder that has the template your using, click the view link up top then go to details, look for a .css file. open it with notepad then go to the find button in notepad, type in .bodyline and find it, then replace the code that follows as described above.

yes, you remove the css from the overall header and link to the sheet because the forum will load fast and I also think but am not sure that it helps reduce strain on the server.
