[outdated] blueGray Theme

Post by Nuttzy99 »

I finally updated blueGray for phpBB 2.0.0 :D I've had a few people asking so, I'm glad to get it done! I made a few changes primarily so that links will be underlined within posts instead of just blending in with normal text. I also corrected some problems with "quotes" and "code" formatting (seen here).

Download: blueGray.zip (144k)

To Install:
1) Extract zip contents to the templates folder under the phpBB root.
2) In the admin panel, under "Styles Admin", select "Add"
3) blueGray will appear on a list, click "Install"
4) Your done! You may optionally set the board default config to blueGray and force your users to use the new theme, if you desire.

I like your colors, and I like that it is clean.

Nice work! :-)

Just edit blueGray.css in the templates/blueGray folder, and search for:

Code: Select all

.code {
	font-family: Courier, 'Courier New', sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #00FF00;
	background-color: #000000; border: #D1D7DC; border-style: solid;
	border-left-width: 1px; border-top-width: 1px; border-right-width: 1px; border-bottom-width: 1px
}
.code a:active  { color: #009900; text-decoration: underline; }
.code a:visited { color: #00FF00; text-decoration: underline; }
.code a:link    { color: #009900; text-decoration: underline; }
.code a:hover   { color: #003300; text-decoration: underline;}
....then replace it with...

Code: Select all

.code {
	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #FFFFFF; line-height: 125%;
	background-color: #000000; border: #D1D7DC; border-style: solid;
	border-left-width: 1px; border-top-width: 1px; border-right-width: 1px; border-bottom-width: 1px
}

Cause the theme is not so good put together, what i mean is that with surtain hacks it doesn't work good, like callendar enz....

this is because all the settings are done in css so you can't modify anything in the admin section ;-(

This is why i ask.

That would be my only suggestion. Is to allow people to edit the style via the admin section

I plan on installing the calendar mod, although I have not really played with it yet. Perhaps I will make changes once I have it.

The problem with using the style admin is that it is not flexible enough to change colors in all the places I need them changed. But I will take a look and see if I can do most of it through the admin. This is on the end of my to do list though ;)

What about changing the color of the links back to blue with the underline?
