/* The largest text used in the index page title and toptic title etc. */
.maintitle,h1,h2 {
font-weight: bold; font-size: 22px; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
text-decoration: none; line-height : 120%; color : #000000;

OK so how do I:-
Change font to 'Impact'
Increase font size to 24
Italicize font
Link heading as a URL to my Home Page

Can you suggest the actual writing? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this.

ok. first i suggest you change font size here:

Code: Select all

body
{ background-color: #FAFAFA; color: #000000;
  background-image: url(images/bg.gif);
  font-size: 75%; }
to some number instead of %

then change font here:

Code: Select all

body, p, h1, h2, h3, table, td, th, ul, ol, textarea, input
{ font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; }
..and Impact is not portable font - lots of users don't have it.

These are valid values for font-family:

Code: Select all

font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;
font-family: "MS Serif", "New York", serif;
font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
font-family: "MS Sans Serif", Geneva, sans-serif;
font-family: Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

Image URL

The default URL attached to the Logo (top left) takes us to the forum index. However there is another link doing that, so I am trying to change the URL to go to my Website Homepage instead.

My problem is that ***/phpBB2/*** gets automatically inserted into the URL. Can you tell me how to edit the image URL please?

I want to change the colors of my style (aeolus)

This document should help you to install server software on your own computer so you can check everything without uploading it anywhere: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=124

I personally use Ariesoft Winsyntax. It's the best editore i've ever used, and uses VERY little resources. Quck load, and has syntax highlighting. Its free from www.download.com.

To see your styles, copy and paste the code from overall_header, index_body, and overall_footer and save as an HTML file.

For the upper left hand corner logo, I followed your instructions, but it doesn't work. I have a .jpg file I want to use, is there some trick or something to it? I inserted it into the correct file, but nothing happens but a red X.

Can you show me the proper script to use? Or name of the image I need to attach in the image file? Is there a specific way to attach it? Thanks!
