The was made using phpBB 2.0.0 files. I am not sure if it has changed at all in 2.0.1, however if you follow my instructions, you really don't need the code at all - you can do the searching and replacing yourself.

I've asked Daz to post that one as a sticky. Hopefully people will read it before they post.

I wrote and submitted that quite a while back. I never heard a response, but now it looks like somebody finally finds it useful :)

Just wanted to say thanks!

bman1,

First of all, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for creating this **awesome** tutorial for us! I REALLY appreciate it! :-)

Second, I love your Bman1Blue style!!! Did you/could you do this style in any other colors, by any chance (like BLACK, for instance)???

Please let me know if you do/did! Thanx in advance! :D

is there a script (or program) out there can change "subsilver" to "newtemplate" automatically? yes i can use wordpad and search and replace all at once.. but to make things esier would be better..

Hi,

AFAIK there isn't anything yet.

Windows users - I use this application to change all occurrences within a directory. It works great, but be careful as it's very permanent. Practice on some test directories.

I agree, the tutorial was great, but it seems like it would be easy to make a small script that could just change all those subsilver words, into whatever you want. For example, what if you had a script that says, insert template name here, and it would change all the words into your templates name...I dont know why phpbb doesnt have a template maker yet. Arg

Very nice tutorial, very helpful.

Is there something similar which would help me change the general look of the templates, in particular the header, footer and graphics? I am just stumbling along in the dark here...
