Using index_body.tpl's variables in overall_header.tpl

I am trying to use the variables in index_body.tpl in overall_header.tpl.

Example:

<a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumlink">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a>

I would like to use the above code inside overall_header.tpl. When I try the values are empty.

Any help will be appreciated.

Anyone? Basically I want to be able to list the categories and forums on the left menu of the left side of the page here:

http://www.dirtbikeforums.com/community/index.php

These variables used do not get parsed on overall_header.tpl like they are in index_body.tpl.

Admins? Can you help me out here? Am I not making sense? I would like to have the forums listed in overall_header.tpl in addition to index_body.tpl.

You can't use it in overall_header.tpl.

1. Those are loop variables. You should start loop before using it
2. Those variables are set after overall_header.tpl is shown, so you can use it only in index_body.tpl and overall_footer.tpl
