Using "Classic" style - question about e-mail show

I am using the "Classic" style on one of my sites. I was noticing that on the "memberlist" page - everyones e-mail address is shown. I have a test account that I put "do not show e-mail" on. How would I adjust the settings so that if a person selects not to show their e-mail - it will not be displayed on the memberlist page?

Cwipperman,

Take this code out of the memberslist_body.tpl:

Code: Select all

{memberrow.EMAIL_IMG}

This is a permanant revision and the only way to show e-mail again is to put the code back or over write with a backup.

But it is fool proof...

This is not style problem. Style shows what phpBB tells it to show. In admin control panel in general configuration enable option "email via board" and forum won't show any email addresses.

The other point which has been overlooked is that if you are an administrator, then you will see the email addresses on that page regardless of what is in the user profile. Test it with a normal user id and see what it shows.
