Body Text color change

Post by chriskhan »

Hello. I try using the search here, but it doesn't seem to work.

So my question is which line in the style sheet do I need to modify in order to change the text color of the forum? I'm using the subsilver template and seems like my text color is in silver making it very hard to read. So when you go to the forum, whatever thread the users post, it's all in silver, and I need to change to black.

I tried changing the text color in the Administration console, but that doesn't seem to be applying it to the forum. Basically all I need is where and what line to change.

Thanks.

It could be the admin panel..
the style sheet at the top of overall_header.tpl
or in subSilver.css in your subSilver folder

A link to your forum would help lots to narrow it down

If you are in the ACP go to;

Styles>Management>Edit
Change Text Colour: to 000000

In the css you would look for;

Code: Select all

/* General text */
.gen { font-size : 12px; }
.genmed { font-size : 11px; }
.gensmall { font-size : 10px; }
.gen,.genmed,.gensmall { color : #000000; }
a.gen,a.genmed,a.gensmall { color: #006699; text-decoration: none; }
a.gen:hover,a.genmed:hover,a.gensmall:hover	{ color: #DD6900; text-decoration: underline; }
Making sure that on this line;

Code: Select all

.gen,.genmed,.gensmall { color : #000000; }
the colour value is hex #000000 for black.
Please refrain from PM'ing me for support unless I specifically ask you to.......

I found out what my problem is with the text not change in the forum. It has to do with my theme.php for under my theme folder. It was set to silver on the template that I was using, so after playing for a bit I got it to work now.
