[RESOLVED] Installed a style, confirmation code...

Post by Smeep »

I've just installed a style call subBlack3d as seen here.

Installation has gone sucesfully, except for the fact that there seems to be no code to include the Confirmation code on the registration page. There isn't even an "Enter the code below" with the usual accompanying box for text entry. It litterally just is not there. I'll take a screen shot for you, or you can try registering yourself at www.clanvrm.net/theregiments/forum This means that in order for people to register I need to have the confirmation code deactivated.

So, first thing I tried was getting a clean copy of the user cp register file and uploading that.

This did not work.

So, my questions are.

1. What is the name of the file that governs what is visible on the registration page for each theme?
2. What peice of the code governs the confirmation box and the text entry box?

What I hope to do, for the first time ever, is simply insert the code or the correct include to the right part on the page and see what happens. Then mess around with formatting the page, to make it look right.

Infact, if I go to the configuration page, the option to enable or disable visual confirmation isn't there at all! Looks like the tunnel may go deeper than I thought.

I guess I have a long road ahead of me.

Thank you so much for your help. It is very much appreciated.

I have followed that through step by step, and gotten most of it done. The template is now compatible, and I can see the configuration options no problem at all.

However, even though I've inserted the code on to profile_add_body.tpl, when I click register, it still doesn't show.

Any idea why this may be?

It is already allowed, from subSilver ;)

However, I have fix it. It was a simple mistake.

I was editing the files in a way different to my normal means, by editing them through SmartFTP which was opening it in notepad.

As such, I forgot about the old saving as .tpl.txt or .html.txt thing that it likes to do - so I wasn't replacing the file, merely adding another.

problem solved. Thanks for your help guys :D
