@Thatbitextra: Thanks a lot for the excellent replacement code that makes the experience even better. It works as expected, at least with Firefox 1.5.0.7, Mozilla 1.7.2 and Internet Explorer 6.0.

Don't know if this is allowed, but I'm trying to use this on my website, www.thelangton.org.uk - and it's not working! If I go to www.thelangton.org.uk/snow.php it's working fine, but when mixed with all the other content on the main index page, all I get is the character I've selected to fall (in this case an asterisk) in the top left of the page.

Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks,
Ed Ludlow

OK a little more on this...I think there's some kind of clash with a script I may already have, or the way the page is set out.

If I run the firefox error console while the page is displayed, I got the repeated warnings "error in parsing value for property 'left'. Declaration dropped." and "error in parsing value for property 'top'. Declaration dropped."

However, tried running it with other scripts off (unless I've missed one... :? ) and the same happens.

Any help?

Thanks,
Ed Ludlow

Can you just post everything above the </head> tag.
Then you will have a few people that might be able to help you.

has anybody got this to work on an ordinary html page?

it works great on our forum pages, but i'd like to extend it to the other pages, like the index.htm page (www.designfood.co.uk).

i've tried to put it between the head tags instead of in front, but that doesn't work...

cheers
