Remove Memberlist & Usergroups

Post by luv2craft16 »

How can I remove the memberlist and usergroups options from the header????

I don't guests or non logged in members to be able to view the memberlist or usergroups while not being logged in.

I've searched here but can't find the answers I am looking for.

Thank You

~Christy

Open templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl.

Find and delete:

Code: Select all

 &nbsp;<a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_members.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_MEMBERLIST}" hspace="3" />{L_MEMBERLIST}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_GROUP_CP}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_groups.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_USERGROUPS}" hspace="3" />{L_USERGROUPS}</a>&nbsp;

Did you put the file back into your server using FTP or something?

These are actually 2 different questions.

The answer SAK gave you will remove the options from the header.

But anyone knowing even a little about phpbb can type into the address bar commands like

memberlist.php
or
viewprofile.php?u=1

To remove those functions for people who are not logged in, you need to edit the files memberlist.php, viewprofile.php, and groupcp.php

Search the forum for those filenames. Mods exist to do what you want.
