Directly linking to styles using style select mod

I've got a website that provides a gallery of themes and styles for open source software. I have phpBB featured in the forums section. I also have a live demo section for each of the phpBB styles in the gallery. I'm using the style select mod for the demo.

I'd like to know if it is possible to directly link to a specific style on the demo. The domain for the live demo is "http://phpbb-20x.themebot.com"

Is it possible to create a link that goes directly to a style i.e. "http://phpbb-20x.themebot.com/&style_select=subSilver"?

There are other MODs out there which make a demo like the one on this site, using frames. You can easily do it with that.

Are there any mods that don't require hacking the core files? There are a lot of hacks needed to get style_select working and it makes upgrading a pain.

This requires very little code editing / changes:

It allows you to change the style using /phpBB/index.php?style=x
