I do not have the overide option selected, so I am good there. I am saying once I install, say blue... then I can revert back to my tweaked style by selecting it in the list as it will be viewable to select. In other words, the tweaked (current) style is not named anything OTHER than whatever the original name is - subSilver?? It's not now because, well, it's the one being used. Did that come out right?? (laughs)

Precisely, yes.

It's name won't change from whatever it is now. If it's named subSilver, then I guess that that's because you edited subSilver without doing the cloning thing.

Back to add - I hesitantly installed one thinking ugghhhh ohhh, then to only realize that it is a per user preference not a forum wide change. DOOOOOOOH. Anyhow, I see now why you were confused Thatbitextra. All is good now. I'll be ooook. :D

Schweet update to a style!!

Is it just me or are the users colors (in the "Whos on line" section) the same color as the moderators?

Updated to 1.2.1. The change is this.

dawmail333: Glad you like it :)

RMcGirr83: Hopefully it's just you :shock: The normal user color is the off-white color. Which board did you see otherwise on?

Uh, mine. :)

Had some other funky stuff going on as well (like no td images). No biggie though, just uninstalled.

It has to go into your phpbb root directory as templates/subBlack/all_your_files_go_in_the_subBlack_directory

Also if you want your MODs to show up while using the subBlack style you will have to redo all the edits you made to your subSilver files according to those mods for the subBlack files.

I have an older version of this template with a ton of mods....
What I really want to know is there an easy way to merge a new version with an older template?

One thing I really like with the updated template is the user log in at the bottom of the screen. Is there anyway just to add this to my form if so how and what files need to be mod'ed?

Thanks for your help.

In index_body.tpl, after:

Code: Select all

<table width="100%" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" border="0">
<tr>
	<td align="left" valign="top"><span class="gensmall">{L_ONLINE_EXPLAIN}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>
add:

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
<form method="post" action="{S_LOGIN_ACTION}">
  <table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" border="0" class="forumline">
	<tr>
	  <td class="catHead" height="28"><a name="login"></a><span class="cattitle">{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</span></td>
	</tr>
	<tr>
	  <td class="row1" align="center" valign="middle" height="28"><span class="gensmall">{L_USERNAME}:
		<input class="post" type="text" name="username" size="10" />
		&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;{L_PASSWORD}:
		<input class="post" type="password" name="password" size="10" maxlength="32" />
		<!-- BEGIN switch_allow_autologin -->
		&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;{L_AUTO_LOGIN}
		<input class="text" type="checkbox" name="autologin" />
		<!-- END switch_allow_autologin -->
		&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
		<input type="submit" class="mainoption" name="login" value="{L_LOGIN}" />
		</span> </td>
	</tr>
  </table>
</form>
<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->
