There's a reason I release FW PNG files instead of PSDs, I don't use Photoshop and I wholeheartedly believe that Fireworks is superior to Photoshop when it comes to this kind of work. Still, despite its strengths it's not very common and I'm hoping I can make more people realize what an awesome piece of software it is, and get some of those PS diehards out there to stop being judgmental about people's choice of software and realize that PS is rather limited in many ways. That's my mission. :)
Also, FW has lacking PS compatibility and vice versa even though you can save for PSD, which I've done, for you. I'll delete this file in a few days so be sure to grab it now:

Also, the planet was made using a plugin, LunarCell by flamingpear.com so you might want to buy a copy of that too.

Thanks so much for your reply, Kail :)

Indeed, I am a diehard Photoshop junkie, just as you and others are Fireworks junkies ;)

I've used Photoshop to create my artwork for almost a decade now, so switching programs really isn't something I care to do, as they keep improving Photoshop anyway...not like it is a dead project with no more versions coming out.

And, yeah, thanks for the planet link. I prefer to make my own, though. Generators just never did it for me...I'm too damn picky, heh.

Again, AWESOME phpbb theme!!

Well, PS is obsolete for web graphics. That's all I'm saying and I've never liked its interface. It's a dinosaur and it was bred for print media and photo retouch, not web graphics and it shows in its extremely poor vector tools and lack of support for streamlined graphics export and optimization.

And by the way, keep all footer notices intact and make sure it says it's a modification (derived work). Also, make sure you read the readme file to understand the terms of use. It's all ask. Enjoy!

How exactly do I do that?

Login as admin, go to admin control panel, click on "general configuration" and you'll see that option right below styles selection

Ok, let me sum up a little better. I now have the theme all through the forum. There is only one place that will not show the new theme. That would be the admin control panel. It still uses the old theme. How do I also get it to change?

As has been explained in previous posts in this topic, I didn't style the admin area as it's a waste of time. You're the only person that sees it.

Hello Kail,
I wanted to thank you for making the Solaris template available. I'm new to the PHP community but was so impressed by what I read and saw here that I switched web hosting companies in order to make use of PHPBB and specifically your Solaris template for my band. The site with the message board just went live this morning. Hopefully most DNS's are pointing to the new Loudlove site with the board (you can download my MP3's too). Being a newbie to the PHPBB community if anyone has suggestions for my new board don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

Congratulations on getting your board installed. I followed the link in your message and watched the video clip of the group and its music. I had not heard of this group before, so my comments are those of an unbiased critic with no prior expectations.

I REALLY like the sound of the group and its music, even though you DON'T have a little kitty like me as a lead singer or even as a backup. 8O

I found that the music even "grew on me" as I listened to the entire clip, and I became a fan by the end of the song. Thanks for sharing it with us, and best of luck with your web site and with the future of this musical group.

A Hearty Meow and Lots of Kitty Kisses for Good Luck,
Tucker

PS If you ever DO decide to include a very talented kitty in your group, just let me know. 8)

I'll try to help, but it depends on how much time I have. Can't make any promises.
