It looks ok if saved in png format, maybe jpg's (and other formats probably) all go darker. :?

edit: the logo I made has been made into jpg and looks fine, so it should be ok, perhaps it went dark accidentally. :)

How do you install this theme. there is no install.tpl in the zip. so phpBB does not see it in the add section in admin control

I deleted the directory a few times now. if I go to add theme solaris is not there. if I go to export. if say it has no theme and to create one, so I click on create. copy the info that is in the zip file for theme_info.cfg. I get this

The exporter could not write the theme information file. Click the button below to download this file with your browser. Once you have downloaded it you can transfer it to the directory containing the template files. You can then package the files for distribution or use elsewhere if you desire

going to management I see it is in there. so I go to profile to select it and click on submit and get this

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not open Solaris template config file

DEBUG MODE

Line : 288
File : /opt/phpBB2/includes/functions.php

Glad it install for you guys just fine.

People have successfully installed this template in RC versions of phpBB2. It's certainly doable in any version. Never had any problems myself.
BTW, install.tpl is only used for the board installation script.

Very nice.

Does anyone know if the style is reverse-compatible with 2.0.3?

Polemides: As I said, it works reversely. People have successfully been using it with release candidate version of phpBB 2.

Blutch: What do you mean?
