Emulation is the key word I bet, as on some plateform you can have weird restriction that you won't find on regular UNIX/APACHE server. As easymod is dealing with low-level function (ftp, copy and so), issues can appears with this semi-compliant set. Now I'm not sure about this. The way it originally is does look messy. Using <pre></pre> neatens things up except now long lines are scrolling off the screen (not wrapping). Neither way is perfect.
