Uh Hu, as do many people - i don't see how this "localhost offline" differs from any other regular "localhost" setup!? :? Be it Online, Offline, Stena Line, West Highland Line, any which line you care to mention...

Emulation is the key word I bet, as on some plateform you can have weird restriction that you won't find on regular UNIX/APACHE server. As easymod is dealing with low-level function (ftp, copy and so), issues can appears with this semi-compliant set. Nothing to worry to much, as the copy can be done manually when it fails :).

The bottom line is that EM is a webpage. If you can execute PHP pages offline then there is no problem. I do this all the time on my dev machine. It can only be accessed as 127.0.0.1.

Don't worry I don't think you are on drugs ;) This is most likely b/c I do an htmlspecialchars and it probably is not necessary. Thanks ;)

All indentation tabs (#15) are removed from the code. This could be rather confusing when you have to check on an error ie.
Hrmmmm... yeah... I didn't think it was a big deal but you are right. I can use <PRE> and that should keep the tabs. - to do: use PRE on process screen
Now I'm not sure about this. The way it originally is does look messy. Using <pre></pre> neatens things up except now long lines are scrolling off the screen (not wrapping). Neither way is perfect. I think I'm leaning towards using <pre></pre>.

What do folks think?

I'd go with the PRE. Looks better.

I am liking the str_replace("\t", '   ' $inputtext) method myself :) It gives word wrap AND it shows the tabs. Kind of like the bbcode of

Code: Select all

I'm far from sure wrapping the line would be convenient in indented view, as the number of indent can go really far (thinking of some templates).

The <pre> version looks good, at seeing lines is much more to people able to read and understand them, so having a presentation is quite fine :).

UPDATE: Things are progressing well on 0.0.9. Working on the update EM functionality and the confirmation page. Then it should be done. In the morning I'll print a sample of the new debug info.
