mrskippy wrote: What mods work with EasyMOD?

And what happens when the MOD has a bunch of PHP files, graphics, etc. Do I manually install those, or put them in that folder and allow EasyMOD to do everything?

Have you read the entire first post? It's all explained there....

Someone explain in detail how I install a mod. If I download a mod from the Internet, where do I install everything and get it to work. For example how would I install a quick reply mod?

Grrr ... OK Here are some examples of what I have and want to install

Quick Reply:

Included in the folder are a folder called French, a .GIF that says Quick Reply, and a file called quick_reply.txt

I also have the attachment mod, flood control, and penalty card hacks. But for the life of me, when I create a folder for the mod as directed, I can't get EasyMOD to see it. :(

I've read through the first post. There is nothing to indicate exactly where I put everything. Ugh!!!

You should have it set up like this:
[forumpath]/admin/mods/mod1/mod_files.file_extension
[forumpath]/admin/mods/mod2/mod_files.file_extension
[forumpath]/admin/mods/mod3/mod_files.file_extension

Also, for the MOD to be detected correctly, it has to use the exact MOD template heading:

Code: Select all

##############################################################
## MOD Title: mod_title_goes_here
## MOD Author: your_phpBB_username < your_email > (your_real_name) your_url
## MOD Description: some_description_goes_here
## MOD Version: x.x.x
##
## Installation Level: (Easy/Intermediate/Advanced)
## Installation Time: x Minutes
## Files To Edit: file_1, file_2, file_3, etc
## Included Files: (n/a, or list of included/required files)
##############################################################

Gotcha, I actually got it to at least detect some mods. But they didn't install.

You simply have to install the mod folder, with everything intact, to the mods directory.

Here's a much better question. Can someone lead me to a mod that works with EasyMOD, so I can at least test it out?

OK I put that text file into:

/public_html/forum/admin/mods/Quick_Reply/

I go into the Install MODs section in the admin control panel and I get a screen that says Unprocssed MODs. Below that it says ... All MODs have been processed. No option to install. :(

What am I doing wrong?
