1) Do not hit the back button to edit your post.
2) Use [quote] tags to show your errors, not

Code: Select all

3) Post only once (i.e. delete/edit one of your posts).

Delete the entries in the easymod table in your database.

This is a minor update to end improving it with Nuttzy's information clarifying 5 entries (on 300) :)

GPHemsley wrote: Well there's one simple answer for this: Some part of the connection info is wrong. If you know that all the info you entered is correct, then you probably don't connect to the default FTP server. You'll need to do the localhost fix that was posted in the past few pages.

Installation Confirmed. EasyMOD is installed!

Thank you very much!!! The localhost fix worked a treat

I, however, still have the problem even with the alternate server fix...

OK, I changed the write method to download, and used the script option for move... this is the end result:
EM installer v0.0.10a wrote: phpBB version: 2.0.4
Working Dir: /users/
Install Step: 7
The Error wrote: Could not find [templates/subSilver/admin/mod_install.tpl].

Permissions: (including system errors)
read access :: OK
write access :: failed
root path write :: failed
chmod access :: unattempted
unlink access :: unattempted
mkdir access :: unattempted
tmp path write :: failed
FTP extension :: module not loaded
copy access :: failed

write: buffer & ftp
move: automated FTP

Selected settings:
write: local
move: exec
ftp dir: /

CWD Listing:

Code: Select all

drwxr−xr−x .
drwxr−xr−x ..
drwxr−xr−x includes

−rw−r−−r−− easymod.gif
−rw−r−−r−− easymod_install.php
−rw−r−−r−− lang_easymod.php

Not testing FTP since it is not being used.

I'll try again, but I posted this just so someone can come up with a solution, esp. in case my other attempts fail.

@Nuttzy: Do you have any code written for the following?
1) Copying *.ext
2) Copying *.*
3) Performing SQL

I thought I might try to start on come of that if you didn't. ;)

You know, I really have no tolerance for people that aren't patient. This is the second time you've not been able to contain yourself while waiting for me to get back to you. I try to do support whenever I can. I don't need people whining and making the topic longer.

So yes, I will work on your problem. But I'm going to investigate everyone else's issues before I get back to you. Maybe then you'll learn to be a little less needy.

Okay... I'm using the download and manual load options now... as soon as I finish copying files, I'll tell you how it went. It would still be helpful for other coolfreepages users to find a fix to the other method, especially since, as I have found, it is a great free host...
