WANTED: knowledgeable MS-SQL user

Post by Nuttzy99 »

That's MSSQL, not MySQL ;)

EasyMOD will soon be handling SQL processing for all the major DB types. I have most of the kinks worked out, but since I don't have MSSQL or Postgresql, I don't have the syntax quite right. I've already found R45 who will be helping me with Postgre.

What I need is an MSSQL user that knows the syntax, and knows how to add/remove tables and columns to cleanup after our tests. You don't need to know PHP, just the MSSQL syntax. You'll be running some tests for me, telling me how I've messed up the syntax and how to fix it. If you are interested, reply to this post. I only need one person.

The first thing we'll do is get EasyMOD to install on a system with MSSQL ;)

Thanks,
-Nuttzy

Don't you have this now? If so, then you might want to lock/unsticky. ;)

No, it is not. And please observe rule 1c regarding backseat moderating.

Nuttzy. What do you need a MSSQL chap for ? (before I say that i'm a converted MSSQL chap :) )

I have a phpBB running on MSSQL and can't see that much difference (apart from it runs slower :) )

Most of my knowledge is in the DTS area of the system, but the queries are much the same as MySQL.

Sorry for not getting back to people.

Here's a topic to help with Postgresql

Here's a topic to help with MSSQL

As for Oracle, I don't have a clue 8O So any help there would be amazing! If you could use those other topics as a model that would be a great start!!

I'll take a look at the Oracle stuff for you. Which version(s) do you want to / intend to support? I would suggest Oracle 9 as a definite, Oracle 8 as a "maybe", and Oracle 7 as a "fugedaboutit" :-)

I have Oracle available to install and test with. I have not used EasyMod at all to date, but I am willing to help with Oracle syntax.

I'd love to help with MSSQL development. I've got NT, 2000 and 2003 test boxes with MSSQL 7, MSSQL 200 and MSDE. You can get me at Drew@conservativefriends.com.

BTW, I tried to post a reply to you at area51, but all I get when I click Post Reply is a blank screen.
