In the doc, I find the author ask for install GD and HTTP File Upload. I visit the site of GD but cannot understand how to do it and where to find the HTTP File Upload?

Thank you

## Requirements:
## A running phpBB 2.0.x (of course - recommend the lastest version)
## GD 1.8.x - 2.0 or higher (require for auto-thumbnail - more detail at http://www.boutell.com/gd)
## HTTP File Upload Enabled (this MOD can work with PHP Safe-Mode in some cases)

I think it means you need GD support on your hosts php setup (same with file uploads)

GD is application that should installed on your HTTP Server. The HTTP Upload you are talking about is that your server should allow uploads.

Check your hosting providers docs about these issues.

Anyway, ask for support from the same place where you did get your MOD.

I find the reason

Thank you for your help.

I find the reason: because my server doesn't support GD, in the administrator setup we have to check for manual upload thumb and not use GD1 or GD2.

Php support GD2

Post by qiuhao » Thu Jul 29, 2004 9:43 pm

hi

I study the doc and find for PHP higher than 4.3.0; il support GD2. Just change the php.ini to let it work.

now it work more effective!!!! :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:

php 4.3.x is available, and it includes a version of gd as "standard equipment." php_gd2.dll is included in PHP installation for Windows, it's just not enabled by default. To turn it on, the user may simply uncomment the line "extension=php_gd2.dll" in php.ini and restart the PHP extension. Change:

#extension=php_gd2.dll

To:

extension=php_gd2.dll

You may also have to correct the extension directory setting from:

extension_dir = "./"

To:

extension_dir = "./extensions/"
