How to add users from another program

Post by kipper3d » Mon Jul 08, 2002 3:32 pm

Hello,

I am trying to use modernbill to setup forum accounts. It originally was not working. After I applied that mySQL statement fix in the link above, it worked once and now it no longer works..

People cant even register without getting
"Could not insert data into users table"

Anybody? is there something else with the db that needs fixing?

added--> just noticed when i use MB to setup forum there is a crazy number for user_id.. So i think something to do with the code in mb and not phpBB. I deleted the one user i created with mb and now people can register..

Thanks,

-john

Problem not solved. Well one problem solved, users can register now that ive taken the MB user entry out, but still trying to get information from MB on how i can modify the code so that it will append to the user_id instead of some crazy number..

Can someone please send me the phpbb_users.sgl table structure that was made for phpbb2.01? Im going to delete old table and create table with new file.. I think this may solve some problems..

Thanks,

-John
