Don't know about that one, i haven't used the flags mod, you can install easy mod without it ;)

Thanks. I'll give it a whirl :)

edit

I just installed this - getting a slew of these

Code: Select all

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in /home/sites/site82/web/ours/board/admin/mods/EasyMod/easymod_install_0-0-7.php on line 160
It's performing the install, no errors on anything else and I see the link...there's about 30-40 of these errors above calling different lines.

In a previous release (I searched) Nuttzy says this would be fixed in a future release - that was back in May.

Here are the snips of code:

Code: Select all

 line 160
function wrapper_find( $read_list, $write_list, $find_array, $search_array)
{
	echo "<b>Finding:</b> " ;
	$stmp = '' ;
	for ( $i=0; $i<count($search_array); $i++)
	{
		$stmp .= $search_array[$i] . "<br>" ;
		echo htmlspecialchars($search_array[$i]) . "<br>" ;
	}

	if (!perform_find( &$read_list, &$write_list, &$find_array, &$search_array))
	{
		echo "includes/constants.php: Could not find:<br>" . $stmp . "\n" ;
		exit ;
	}
}

Code: Select all

 line 181-187
if ( $where == 'before')
	{
		write_files( &$write_list, $insert_string) ;
		write_find_array( &$find_array, &$write_list) ;
	}
	else if ( $where == 'after')
	{
		write_find_array( &$find_array, &$write_list) ;
		write_files( &$write_list, $insert_string) ;
	}
	$insert = array() ;
}
[edit again] It seems it is giving this error on almost every instance of &$write_list in the PHP.

I have added easy mod to my forum when I get to the part where you execute the post_process.bat nothing much is happening, I dont get an install mods under the general admin appearing so I cant use it. Any idea what the problem is or how I can solve it.

Hi,

i just wanted to let you know :

i've installed with success the EasyMod Alpha 2 0.0.7 on a phpBB 2.0.3.
I've also installed the Country Flags MOD and the BBcode Left-Right MOD with EasyMod, both work fine.

I'm waiting for the alpha 3 which will execute the database alteration itself :wink:

Very good job Nyttzy :wink:

i have tried to install it in 2.0.4 but i can't process the easymod compliant mods like country flag.

the installation & db alteration of the easymod itself goes smoothly without problem. when processing other complaint mods the problem begins. "the page cannot be found". i've checked all the necessary files & all were in their respective place.

any help?

Maybe this is not compatible with phpBB 2.0.4. I've tested it without any problem on phpBB 2.0.3.

Are you sure the MOD you want added are EasyMod Compliant ?

2.0.4 has many fundamental changes over 2.0.3 so it is likely alot of mods won't work

Ok, i've been trying to get easymod to work on 2.0.4 and here's what i had to do to make it work...

in admin_mod_install.php
find
'L_COMPLETE' => $lang['EM_Complete'],

before, add
'S_ACTION' => append_sid('admin_mod_install.' . $phpEx),

in mod_index_body.tpl
find
admin_mod_install.php

replace with
{S_ACTION}

in mod_sql_body.tpl
find
admin_mod_install.php

replace with
{S_ACTION}

I did these changes, when I try to install, I get this at the bottom of the page.

Warning: fopen("./post_process.bat", "w") - Permission denied in /home/.foggy/gerid/users/otwclan/website/forums/admin/mods/EasyMod/admin_mod_functions.php on line 347
ABORT: Could not open post_process files for reset and writing.

I have already done chmod 777 mods on the mods directory
