Why is it when i delete the cells and tables in profile_add_body.tpl i get an error when my users click submit. ???

they get the "could not update users table"

does a script check for each cell and make sure its on the template or something..??

how can i get around this??

Does this have to do with a MOD? I think it's in the wrong forum...should be here. (methinks)

I have found certain fields need to be kept.

When registering all you need is "username, password x2 and email".

But when i found when i split the profile into different section, i found in order to update your sig, you needed the simile info.

So try doing a hidden field with the smile value set, and see if it works then, it solves my problem.

If that does not work (don't see why not), elimate the fields, remove one by one to see which one is kicking up the problem.

ok i eliminated as much of the cells as possible and now im down to:

username:
Email:
Password: (current, 2x new)

Then the signature Box and "show smilies"

right i need to only show the Signature box..

How can i hide the rest??

It comes up with an error because the back-end side of the script is trying to process those textboxes to include in the database and they are not there so it, technically speaking, shits itself. The way to fix that is to take out what ever filds you don't want in the template and then remove all the references to those fields in the script.

If you get what I'm talking about, good luck in your MOD, but if you don't, PM me and I will be glad to help you out.

looks good, and is a nice idea.

The "title square" didn't work from the link, but the others loaded up just fine, and i also found that in the Avatar square you are missing the form information, because when you click on submit it does nothing.

its still buggy.. i kow and the title square isnt there yet.. as i need to install a mod to edit users title but thats next..

i am having this problem also:

when profile square is accessed and modified by a user.. the signature box is cleared so everytime the user updates his profile the signature need to be done again..

im confused now. 8O :?:

and i am sorting the avatar one out now...

I'm not sure on the purpose of the above post but if you're looking for help, we need to see some code.

I just noticed that bug on my forums as i am working on a simular thing.

what you will need to do is do some more hidden fields with the information in it, such as all the veriables from the other pages, but make them hidden.
