the Return of: How do you add a new PHP page?

Post by morkovka »

Hi guys!
this is actually related to this one:

But, what if you want to add a page such that it is in some subdirectory.
For example, file page1.php in the directory photos: photos/page1.php
Also, what if i am using different database connections and other code from within that page1.php page- how can i coordinate them together?

i tried making the $phpbb_root_path set to "../" but it gives me "critical error" ->

phpBB : Critical Error

Error updating sessions table

I want to merge some existing database of users to some other framework - and that is really a pain in the neck..

It is either:
a) a mod you have installed or
b) you have the sessions table full problem (but I don't think so) or
c) you typed something wrong :P

because when i used the code

Code: Select all

define('IN_PHPBB', true);
$phpbb_root_path = '../';

include($phpbb_root_path . '');
include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.'.$phpEx);

// Start session management
$userdata = session_pagestart($user_ip, PAGE_INDEX);
// End session management

WOOT! this works fine...

include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/page_tail.'.$phpEx);

taken from the topic you mentioned it all works fine...
