This modification will add a content management system (CMS) to your phpBB board - it will enable you to create articles (independent from posts) and display them via which ever script / page / file in the phpBB root directory you want.
You can e.g. create a "Welcome" article and display it when a user visits your board (via index.php) - of course with providing a link to the forum overview page as normal...but until that point nobody will even notice, that he is on a message board rather than on a fully fledged website.
In fact this MOD will make your phpBB board a fully fledged website / content management system
Ladies and gentlemen...
Okay, enough of the formalities: Here is the first Alpha version of the new th23 CMS.
What does Alpha mean? - Most probably if you ask that questions, you are not the target group for this download and should wait until the final version is released. This version should under no circumstances be used in a live environment! There won't be an upgrade path! Additionally absolutely no support is given at this stage...
You can report bugs / feature request by replying to this posting, but there won't be neither individual feedback, nor regular updates / bug fixes...be assured however, I read through your comments - and will come back to you, if needed
Having said that, in this special case you only get a - hopefully more or less working - pre-release version of the back end (ACP) functions of th23 CMS. Feel free to install it on a test server of yours and give it a try...
How to get started:
- Copy the included files in their respective folders on your test server
- Make the file changes described below
- Execute the SQL statements in your database (keep potentially different prefixes in your DB in mind)
- Add the 'th23_cms' key to the config table having it's value set to '1' - and purge the cache afterwards
- Add the ACP modules via the ACP module management
- Happy testing!
Looking forward for your comments
