Just using the th23 CMS with any other MOD installed should not cause any difficulties - except something with rewriting URL or such.

But e.g. using some of the boxes from the portal on the CMS pages might be tricky and require some coding... :geek:

This is a great mod but most of us have portals installed
Can I have the index.php CMS enabled? [with no article :) ]

Yes, you can :) Simply activate it for index.php but do not assign an intro article...hope that is what you want!?

Hey, this sounds great, th23, and it might be just what I'm looking for! I think a lot of us want more info, though.

Maybe you can answer some quick questions, and this may spur some of us to go ahead and try it and report back. I was going to use ExpressionEngine for my main site. With ExpressionEngine, I can set up different "blogs" (that I use as site pages, not really "blogs"). For example, I can make a "Main pages" blog, and have the links automatically show in the top part of the left hand column. I can also make a "User Pages" blog, and have those appear in another section, say... right below the other set of links. Finally, I can make a "random pages" blog whose links DON'T automatically appear, and I can manually set them in any order I want if I want to, and put them under the other two groups.

Also, I can authorize certain users to be able to post in the "User Pages" blog, but not the "Main Pages" blog. Can your CMS do any of that?

I hope that example makes sense, and I'd prefer to give you an actual example rather than use terminology that I may or may not be correct on!

Thanks!

I don't fully get every point...I would suggest you really try it out and check whether it suits your needs? I am not familiar with the software you mention, so comparison is rather hard on this end...

No, that is not possible in the actual version...there is only one permission allowing to create content, and this requires admin permission - as the CMS editor is part of the backend. This might change in a future version...but is jet up for determination.

Have a look on my homepage (thorstenhartmann.de) - this is realized via the CMS system.
