So are you in contact with the other mod author to sort out this issue?

This one will also display similar topics when creating a new topic, by using AJAX to check the title of the newly created topic for similar topics.

I think they both use the same method to query the database. But Precise Similar Topics might be faster because this MOD requires more information for the display results such as the number of replies, read/unread status, etc...

Precise Similar Topics is also already validated by phpBB, unlike this one which is currently development status.

So Advanced Similar Topics 1.1.1 can't display similar topics when I creating a new topic?
So why is needed to edit styles/prosilver/template/posting_editor.html with

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_NEW_TOPIC --><!-- INCLUDE similar_viewtopic.html --><!-- ENDIF -->
?? However, if this is it (to display similar topics when creating a new topic), it don't work on my forum.
Hmm, I have just updated wersion 1.0.4 to wersion 1.1.1 and in version 1.0.4 similar topics were display when I created a new topics. Can You do that again? I will be grateful.

please, help

No... I said, "this one," meaning the one you are reading about - Advanced Similar Topics - will display similar topics when creating a new topic.

1. Check installation this mod
2. Go to ACP -> General -> Board configuration -> Similar Topics and check settings (Minimum relevance. or Use boolean mode:)

This individually for each board. Try the value of 0.5
mymy wrote:Is anyway to unistall the MOD from php data base and do SQL question again??
It is not necessary.

So I can do install again without unistalling? There will be no duplicate entries?
Still I don't know what is wrong :?

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_topics` DROP INDEX `topic_title`;
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_users` DROP COLUMN `user_options_similar';
DELETE FROM `phpbb_config` WHERE `config_name` LIKE 'similar_%';
and install MOD again
