Installed within 1 minute and no errors till yet.

Your mod is very basic, IMO to simple. How about integrating it into the ACP with e.g. the options already available in simular mod? http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1349145

Lol, that's just my luck. Hadn't seen that mod. Oh well, I'll continue development!

I had planned on doing an ACP interface for it, and it is currently in the works.

I've installed this and from initial testing it works. I would encourage you to continue development on this, in particular a way to submit back to the API when spammer get through.

I will welcome further development. When you make an ACP interface with options requested for you will make several people happy. :)

I tested it by running a few registrations using an email or username from the stopforumspam.com list and noted what message was returned.

I installed this mod, but I have one spammer who is getting past registration even with a blocked email and ip from SFS.

Ive tested my registration page with his email and it blocks it, so how is he getting past it?

Can you let me know what values he is using to register?

thanks for this useful mod :)

I was just looking to write something simple against spam registrations when i came across this one.

is there a noticeable delay during registration? will certainly try it out later but thought you might have some experience with this already.
cheers

It's fairly quick (unnoticeable); however if the stopforumspam.com website is having issues, the delay is dependent upon how quickly it returns an error code or times out.

Thanks, i installed it and it see, works quite nicely.

I would suggest to add some acp options though,e.g. turning on/off. also maybe a possibility to choose what the check should be made against instead of all three by default, same with log adding as it can clog up the logs quite quickly.

just a suggestion :)
