Better yet, what other mod's JavaScript is loading?

To the lists, sir! :D

I intend to use this excellent mod as a rotating library shelf, so I may be able to isolate this JavaScript from the separate stuff loaded in index.php if possible.

When I get it together, I'll post my mod to the mod...

Silverwhite, it's based on Prosilver_SE only difference seems to be that it uses the same tabs from the moderator/user control panels for its main navigation links.

I have a few MOD's installed on it which use Javascript though, so as a Litebox image resizer & topic preview.

As far as I can tell I have the following two MOD's installed which have added Javascript:

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p9576285 & http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/index.php? ... ib_id=8475

EDIT: I have done some debugging for you & I have learned that it the "Topic Text Hover MOD" which is causing the problems.

I know this because that MOD gets you to add this line:

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript" src="{T_TEMPLATE_PATH}/tooltip.js"></script>
to overall_header.html, removing this instantly fixed the problem with your MOD, so hopefully now that you know which file it is causing the problems this could be worked around a bit quicker :)

I'll test installing both mods and see If I can find a workaround for this..
No promises, though... :|

I did the installation and show the problem... Images in the dock menu appear static... :(
I tried to identify the problem, but unfortunately I did not find any solution - sorry..
If you could ask RMcGirr83 (the other mod's author), I believe he maybe can help (he's by far much more experienced than me... )

Or I maybe will...

Check if you have another mod using jquery. I added a dock station and then tried to add another app which also used jquery and it worked but was static while the dock worked fine, so you might have a similar problem.

What was the other mod you are saying, so that I make some tests?
I deleted the topic hover one and it is quite big to reinstall... :)

Hello, thanks for this MOD. I too had that static menu problem. When I was troubleshooting, I took out the img url's from dock_menu.html from the first 2 links, saved and cleard cahche. And for whatever reason, that seemed to help! and started working normaly. those weird IE issues :?

Anyway, for anyone who might find this useful. turn a link into a popup window.
in dock_menu.html use something like this:

Code: Select all

<a class="dock-item" href="#" onclick="window.open('http://www.anysite.com/popup.htm', '_blank', 'HEIGHT=350,resizable=yes,scrollbars=no,WIDTH=500');return false;"><img src="images/dock/email.png" alt="{L_DOCK_LINK5}"/><span>{L_DOCK_LINK5}</span></a>
Oh and a tip for those with dark themes: you can give colour to the title under the icons. in
dock_menu.html look for the <span> tags and replace with <span style="color:#FFF;"> for example.

Thanks agian, ChriZathens!

Have you copied all files in the correct location and then refreshed your templates?

Are there any other mods installed in your forum?
Since this mod uses jquery, any other mod that may also use jquery could be the problem..
What other mods do you have installed?
