Yes, this mod now has both chatrooms and private instant messages working now, and you can have unlimited chatrooms (as many as your server can handle anyway).

It should be fine on a fresh install. Do you have DEBUG and DEBUG_EXTRA on when you try to change ACP settings?
both debug and debug extra are marked as "true"

Apparently my subscription failed to e-mail on new posts... Congrats on the new dev release, will be installing and testing after work.

Looks like you have

Code: Select all

Open: style/prosilver/template/overall_footer.html
twice in install instructions.

I will be testing tonight, I'll let you know the result as I am using on a custom template. Installed was a cinch though, thanks for the easy instructions.

Install went through fine.
Keep in mind, I installed on a fresh install of PHPBB with the exception of a custom MOD based on prosilver.

I am getting the following error when sending a message :

Code: Select all

Error=> An unknown error occured while sending your message.
I also see in the title of Ajax IM :

Code: Select all

ajax im: undefined

In addition to the above, after pressing the submit button to registering a new account the following error occurs :

Code: Select all

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Field 'im_profile' doesn't have a default value [1364]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.
After investigation I found that, that field indeed does not have a default value. I notice it is a blob field so I am unsure what the default is supposed to be. Let me know please

EDIT 3 : NM its a text field, what is supposed to go there?

I really need to add more error definitions because that one can pop up for almost anything. Is the undefined window a p2p im or a chatroom? What version of PHP are you using and are you trying to IM yourself or another user?

Sorry was editing the post above, I will get more info for you.

Firstly, it is in the Chat Room box but that is all I have been able to test thus far because no one is logged in.

Will get back to you on others

Can you answer the above posts please? What is supposed to be the default value of im_profile?

Currently if someone uses your script and installs per instruction it will mess up the registration process for new users.

Sorry twick. The field was origionally text, which shouldn't need (and can't have) a default value. You might try setting that column to have NULL set to yes in phpMyAdmin. I'll look into this, and as far as I know, I can't change the null setting using UMIL so I'll see what I can do to fix it.

ok, I've been following the progress of this with a huge amount of interest. I noticed the demo URL is down for the time being, so out of curiosity how is it looking? are there any working demo's around? :)

I don't currently have a demo site up for it, bu development is going fairly well with the time I do have. Out of all of my active mods, this is the one I'm making the most progress on. The bar for site wide connections is almost halfway done, but it needs a lot of UI work. Other than that, I've been getting a good amount of bugs fixed. I'll see if I can get a demo site set up sometime this weekend.
