Watching this. May be useful for a music site I have set up which runs off of phpBB 3. Looks very good so far :)

Demo board up - Audio module almost fully complete. Go have a play with the playlist feature! ;) Also, if you want to test out adding items, register and give it a go! Creative commons music only please! http://www.jamendo.com/ is a great place to get legally free music to try.

http://forums.dfcowell.net/media/

Known issues:
  • Playlist ordering (move up/move down) doesn't work.
  • No album art in playlist play.
  • Styling in some places is crap.
  • Album descriptions not working.
  • No check for anonymous user on playlist use.
  • Smilies/bbcode don't work in descriptions in category view.
  • No pagination.
There's still plenty of optimizing to do, and it's very much [DEV], so no releases in the next couple of weeks I'm afraid. :(

Would be nice to have:
Custom video/audio player using JWPlayer, with optional Logo placement and advertising

:D

For advertising support with JWPlayer, you need to buy a license. It wouldn't be hard to substitute JWPlayer into the MOD if you bought it yourself though. Just a few template edits. ;)

I will consider this for a later version though.

This is perfect!!

Exactly what I am looking for! With this mod, I can use phpbb instead of a CMS system :D :D

Thank you so much for developing this!
Bookmarked and awaiting for a release :D

You probably don't have this in your initial release but any thoughts to adding integration with the Ultimate Points Mod?

onel0ve - I think I get what you're saying. The youtube feature will be included, as for the photo gallery, I'll probably be taking my own approach with it. ;) It will be reminiscent of other galleries though.

keith - Maybe. Depends how easy it is to integrate.

No firm timeframe, but barring unforseen circumstances, the audio module for it (pretty much what you see on the demo board) should be out next week. If anyone has suggestions as to how to tackle re-ordering items in the playlists and what to do about fixing numbering when items are deleted, I'd love to hear it. That's the biggest problem I'm having at the moment. :x
