I presume the development for this feature hasn't begun (or isn't on the demo site) or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Man, this is looking good! I have a fresh installation of phpbb3.0.10 installed on my shared server running Linux CentOS and I was about to add Like buttons to:
forums/styles/prosilver/template/index_body.html
forums/styles/prosilver/template/viewforum_body.html
forums/styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html

I sat up an APP on Facebook and have the installation running inside the Facebook framework at:
https://apps.facebook.com/urbanrabbitproject/

Are your login and other scripts going to work on a "fluid canvas" page as shown on Fb's tutorial?

Should I give it a whirl, or hang on for a minute?

Nice app!!! :).

It should work nps.

You seem to know what your doing. I am nearly finished with a clients website so I can release the code to you from my latest update to the facebook login system as it uses jQuery and the phpBB registration system with auto filled fields.
Also The users wont have to allow your app as it has the perms already granted.
I can make an auto login script for you apon the user entering you app page on facebook if a previous phpBB registration has been done.

Can't chat anymore..Gotta work :(

can u update screenshots for this mod in 1st post, pls ?

edit
I tried test your mod on ur site http://www.damienkeitel.com
but connect with fb not working

i mean:
while login in facebook account
i clicking "connect with fb" (on your site)
window from fb pops out with allowing confirmations
i'm allowing everything what is possible

then message on your forum:
Do you wish to register with your Facebook account?

I clicking "Yes"

and then i see:
You must have a Facebook account to login into the site via the Facebook Login Button on the site

i dont understand that, i have fb account (and logged in while i doing "connect with fb")

Sorry about that. It has been fixed. Just note that my personal site is half way through a code change and was nearing completion until a client wanted a website upgrade done asap.

Ok, not a problem
glad it's working now ;)

but, do you know good solution to register new user using this real name (or name from fb account)
Now user must manually fill that field (username)
but what if make this automatically ?

I saw some site using fb connent with that feature.
I think that was for wordpress.

Yeah thats easy to do. you dont even need to go through the process of registration to do that. You can have an auto register using the real name, email and fb_id.

Well instead of sending the user to the registration page. You send the confirm true back to fb2011_connect.php and user_add() with a curl or GET info fields from facebook using graph api or even use jQuery post to do all the leg work.
Drop by the forums and leave a message. I make up some quick code 2moz for you to change so the auto rego goes through with a jQuery UI dialog and ajax.

Hi Keitzy,

Thanks so much for your efforts with this app. I've attempted to install it today but have found a couple of errors. I've googled around but with no luck, so I'm really hoping you might be able to help.

http://www.pokerasiapacific.com/phpbb3/index.php

There is a "Connect with facebook" link towards the bottom of the page. If you go through the registration process you get an error "Invalid or no certificate authority found, using bundled information" on the file "fb2011_connect.php"

I read something about it might be a server CURL issue, but I have no idea what that is, what to check or what to ask my hosts if it is a server issue. Can you advise?

The other issue is on the normal register page. http://www.pokerasiapacific.com/phpbb3/ ... e=register If I click on the "Agree to terms" I get an error on the next page:

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in C:\inetpub\vhosts\pokerasiapacific.com\httpdocs\phpBB3\cache\tpl_milky-way-red_ucp_register.html.php on line 117"

I know I'm using a different theme, but pretty sure everything was copied accurately. I have no idea what this error is. The ucp.php file looks fine. The "tpl_milky-way-red_ucp_register.html.php" in the error itself looks weird to me but not sure where that's generated.

Really hope you can help. I went to your own forum and attempted to register there to post, but after several attempts, I couldn't login using FB there either which isn't a great sign! :(

Just uninstall this version and wait for the updated new version to be released.
Release in two - three days time. Western Australian time. Will keep you all posted with confirmation of the new version release
Work in progress here http://www.damienkeitel.com.
I will also add some more features like auto register, Facebook only register and a couple of others that I want to surprise people with.

Also, a new name and version system will be released. Out with fb2011 and in with fb4phpbb.
I will also be adding the mod to GIT-HUB. So far I'm 50% in the new/upgraded mod.
