Go to Random text. Than create category, add some random text. After that come back to bot setting and choose category for welcome messages.

1 - Add Hello Text

open your ACP and get to the MOD mChat and then click on text add text then see you 2 texture fields

set Hello in the first texture field
set something like this Hello {$username} welcome on Your site name here How are you today ? in second texture field

2 - Add Welcome text

open your ACP and get to the MOD mChat and then click on random text add category

and call the new category welcome message

then click you on Add random text and set by Bot reply in the texture field someting like this

Hello {$username} welcome on Your site name here

then Select the category welcome message and then click you on Submit

and then you're done

I hope that my message is useful

Read first post :!: In the description is written "mChat Bot can also say welcome message when user login on board.", so the conclusion applies itself.

EDIT:
mChat Bot will not say welcome message to user if someone turn on Hide my online status, choose Hide my online status this session or login automatiacally.

It isn't part of this mod. Ask phpbb mChat author for solution.
Probably you have to change variable $user->data['user_id'] to mChat Bot user_id in file which is responsible for new posts.

They aren't brackets they are parenthesis and the download works fine.
