Modification Name: AOS Tag User BBCode

Modification Description:
This MOD allows users to tags, using the BBCode [tag], making a link to a user profile and notification by private message or email.

The user has the option to choose whether the labels will be notified via private message (PM) or email (e-mail), the administrator can configure whether the labels is a link to the profile or just the user name its corresponding color preceded the @ symbol.

BBCode only works on messages (topics and post), not other parties such as signatures or other MODs.
Their mode of use is:

Resulting in: @Alorse

If the user does not exist only display the text between the [tag] preceded the @ symbol.

The MOD is fully configurable from the ACP also handles group permissions for users.

Any questions or suggestions are welcome, I also accept criticisms about the operation, programming languages and translation of the MOD, etc...

Detail, but not an error of MOD

If enabled the notification method "private message" and if the userX using the language English tag UserY, which uses language Spanish, the MP, will come with the language English, since the sending of this is done from the user profile you have configured the language.

Installation: To install the MOD install_mod.xml read, remember that must create the BBCode [tag] from the ACP, the instructions are in the installation files.

Works With: 3.0.10 (should work fine on older versions also)

Sounds interesting. What I'd like to see included is an option in the UCP so user can enable whether they want to be contacted at all and whether they rather receive a PM or an e-mail.

I've now tested your MOD on my local forum, works well but I'd rather see the link directly to the post where the tag appears...means I miss a "#p1234" at the end of the link.

But it seems to be mostly functional. Not all users are receiving the notification PMs though (as a founder, I am). The users love it though.

That idea seems interesting, I will consider for future versions taking advantage of the MOD is in development stage.
The user to choose their preferred method of notification from the UCP and ACP will serve as a basis.

Uninstall the MOD and then turn them to install ...

It is not possible.
I do not see to want to do that, if someone quoted a message from you is because posteastes in that subject and can be subscribed to it.
