Nope... Still no go.

Tried two different computers from two different locations.

Are we using the same download URL ?????

I'm clicking the one at the begining of this topic that points to:
http://alorse.net/phpbb/MODs/index.php? ... BBCode.zip

Where are you getting yours from ?

@Alorse I was finally able to download the zip file from your main site.

I have it in and working. Version 0.1.0 [BETA]

I noticed two distinct issues.

First, your screenshots provided here on this board show an option in the ADMIN CONTROL PANEL to choose if users get notified by PM-EMAIL-NONE. Yet, in my ADMIN panel, that part does not show.

My ADMIN panel only shows :
Enable AOS Tag User BBCode [Yes/No]
Link to Profile {Yes/No]
and Enable user notification [Yes/No]

I do note that in your ACP screenshot provided, the version number is "0.0.1 [DEV]" and not the current 0.1.0[BETA]. So, I am left to assume that in the latest version, the part to chose how users get notified was removed from the ACP.

Can you please confirm this?? If this is not the case, I might have a bad install.

The second issue I had was that *some* of my installed SYTLES (themes) do indeed have the option to choose how to be notified, in the USER Control Panel section.

But only *some* of the STYLES show this feature in their UCP. Not all of the SYTLE show it.

You mentioned to me in an email reply "Perhaps you have not installed the mod in the style Skyblue and therefore not visible."

How do I "install the MOD" into a STYLE ???

I am not sure if this is relevent, but....
In my ACP, under my AUTOMOD tab, I see installed MOD "AOS Tag User BBCode".

Under its "OPTIONS" column is a link called "Details". When I click DETAILS I see all the details for the mod AOS Tag User BBCode. At the bottom of this details page, I see a line that looks like this:

Apply these changes [prosilver] to this template [RedSilver3] .

Noting that the "prosilver" and "RedSilver3" are drop down boxes.

In the "RedSilver3" box are all the STYLES I have installed.

If I choose any of my themes that don't show the TAG option in the UCP, and select "submit".... I get nothing.

Again, not sure if this part is relevent.

So... how do I add the TAG feature to the UCP of any STYLE where is does not show?

Thank you.

Yes, in version 0.1.0 [BETA] was withdrawn that option in the ACP for placing on the UCP.

It is better you perform the installation of the styles manually.
Its your style is based on prosilver, then you must make the changes outlined for that template, but if your style is based on subsilver2, you must make corresponding changes to the template subsilver2.

I recommend you seek some MODs installation guide.

Smallbreeds. I have confirmed that the file on this site is indeed corrupt. The file owner needs to replace it. (or it was uploaded in ASCII instead of BINARY)

Try downloading it from this site :

Alorse. We have tried both that URL and the link to the zip file listed here.
Both show as a bad file after download.

I'm not sure why you show it as good, and everyone else as bad. But more that one person here is stating that the download results as a corrupt zip file with nothing in it, after download.

????

Can you verify that the file is uploaded as a BINARY, and the file permission is 755?

Thanks,
Bill

Could you check again? I changed the permissions of the files.

BBCode request

Post by thunderft » Thu Sep 22, 2011 2:59 am

Alorse.

My wife and her friends love the TAG code.

They were wondering if you could make a version that notifies you if you were QUOTED in a post?

Thanks.

No, it downloads perfectly fine.

@smallbreeds: You have complained about a "corrupt" ZIP file on multiple topics. As said, fix your computer instead.

Hmmm, I must have some serious conflict with some other MOD, it went totally mad here... E.g., the following post:
In includes/db/db_tools.php line 1414, line 2060, line 2097, change 24 to 130/124:

Code: Select all

if (strlen($column_name) > 130)
if (strlen($table_name . $index_name) - strlen($table_prefix) > 124)
if (strlen($table_name . $index_name) - strlen($table_prefix) > 124)
ended up like this:
Guest
In includes/db/db_tools.php line 1414,Guest line 2060,Guest line 2097,Guest change 24 to 130/124:Guest
Guest
Guest

Code: Select all

Guest
if Guest(strlen(Guest$column_name)Guest Guest>Guest 130)Guest Guest
if Guest(strlen(Guest$table_name Guest&Guest#46;Guest Guest$index_name)Guest Guest-Guest strlen(Guest$table_prefix)Guest Guest>Guest 124)Guest
if Guest(strlen(Guest$table_name Guest&Guest#46;Guest Guest$index_name)Guest Guest-Guest strlen(Guest$table_prefix)Guest Guest>Guest 124)Guest
Guest[Guest/code]Guest
[/quote]

Needless to say, cannot use it like this...

That would create an entirely separate MOD and complicated, plus I do not have time for it.
Greetings to your wife.

Some people have problems downloading the file but not to that need, since most are working perfectly.

It still has bugs and compatibility with other MODs are not to be, has yet to develop and optimize my MOD.
Your problems and suggestions are very appreciated for contunuar with the development of my MOD.
Thank you.
