i have a small request though
can the owner of this mod make it compatible with mchat... if i use the bbcode in the mchat it doesnt work. the user in not tagged and it doesnt give any notification although it changes to @username.
can some1 help me fix this issue
The mod is only compatible with the messages and the preview, what would you ask for an add-on and must be done separately.
I appreciate your interest in the MOD, but I do not piendo develop this add-on.
i thought it wuld be easy for a modder like u to do it... i do not know anything about modding... i just use this website and the tutorials to BLING my forum... i wuld really appreciate if u culd get this mod working in mchat

When tagging 4 users at once: "[tag]user1[/tag], [tag]user2[/tag], [tag]user3[/tag], [tag]user4[/tag], need your help here."

It appears to me the following error:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_folder() (previously declared in /homez.54/tuga/www/forum/includes/functions_privmsgs.php:116) in /homez.54/tuga/www/forum/includes/functions_privmsgs.php on line 217

I also get an error if tagging 4 users at once... it was ""Cannot redeclare smtpmail" though, line 1126 of functions_messenger.php

find

another possible solution

find

Code: Select all

        if (!function_exists('get_folder'))
        {

It may also fixes this here

Yup... I added the include_once change to both the line you referenced and the call to functions_messenger in that same file and it seemed to do the trick.

Thank you!!

I have put here:
function atub_submit_pm($user_id, $username, $user_colour)
{
global $user, $topic_id, $db, $config;
global $phpEx, $phpbb_root_path;

include_once($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_privmsgs.' . $phpEx);
require_once($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/message_parser.' . $phpEx);
and it works! Thks!

I was going to write this mod. didn't knew it exist. so I stoped developing that mod. :D

I suggest you add posibility of sending PM for posts that need moderation after a moderate approve it. also check that a username exist and if not, reject it in editor. and a ucp option that disallow other users to tag him and display an error in editor.

Hello,

I'm running phpbb 3.0.11 and I've installed automod. I then uploaded your mod and went to install. It gave me a warning about this mod only being for 3.0.10 but I proceeded anyway. It then said it succeded, and showed me your instructions below and gave a me a link saying click here to finish the installation. Your instructions:
Log on to Administration Control Panel
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A) Database update:
1) Once all the files have been modified and uploaded to your site you should point your browser at this location with the addition of /aos_tag_user_bbcode_install.php
2) Follow the instructions.
3) You should remove/rename the install file (aos_tag_user_bbcode_install.php) from your server.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B) Add New BBCode:
1) ACP >> Posting >> BBCode
2) Add new BBCode
2.1) BBCode usage
[tag]{TEXT}[/tag]
2.2) HTML replacement
<!-- ATUB -->@{TEXT}<!-- ATUB -->
2.3) Help line
Tag User BBcode MOD [tag]username[/tag]
2.4) Settings
Display on posting page: Check
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C) Enjoy it !.
The link it gave me was to the file: myurl.com/phpbb/aos_tag_user_bbcode_install.php but when I clicked there it took me to the not found on your server page. I then went in and looked and indeed this file was not located in the root folder, and none of the files included in the zip where in their proper place. I also went through the install.xml file and none of the changes listed there were actually performed on the files. So Im very confused why automod said everything was ok? What did I do wrong?

Apparently AutoMOD erred. MOD is the first to install or have already installed other with AutoMOD?
The MOD with AutoMOD working properly, you should request AutoMOD support or install manually.

would it be possible to include some drop down to suggest users to tag based on what you typed?

Also, would it be possible to tag a group and all users of that group receive a notification?

Thanks for your great work!

Maybe in the future maybe both, for now it is not possible and the development of the mod is still.

Hi, I'd love to get this MOD working. I have two test users that Im playing with - admin and user.

I have followed the installation steps.
I have set "You can use the tag system [tag]" to yes for all groups in Group permissions.
I have purged the cache and style template.

Problem 1: Out of five different styles I have installed (cooperative, idlaunch, ggvalentine, proglass_red and subsilver2), only idlaunch have the tag options in UCP.

Problem 2: When admin tries to tag a user,

Code: Select all

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 4806, 1)' at line 2 [1064]

SQL

INSERT INTO phpbb_tags (topic_id, user_id, notify_status) VALUES (, 4806, 1)

BACKTRACE

FILE: [ROOT]/posting.php
LINE: 1181
CALL: aos_tag_user->atub_obtain_users_i()
Seems it for some reason cant find topic_id.

Still, the post does get submitted, and

Code: Select all

[tag]user[/tag]
is converted to @user with a link.

When user tries to tag admin, then

Code: Select all

Also his posts get submitted.
Neither user nor admin gets any notification (messages). Any solutions to this?
