evepowr wrote:I got a question. This is my current goal now which i think other members might like. So your mod is pretty much a reddit style mod which is great. I wanted to implement one more feature in it.

On the view forum body page i want to add the reputation from the first post of each topic.

Styling it on the viewforum html file wont be hard. Im just not sure how i would go about getting that first posts rep called so i can post it next to each topic on the forum body page.
Not so easy as you think. That will require changes in viewforum.php file, also proper changes in viewforum_body.html and adjust reputation.js otherwise it will not work with AJAX.

Due to a lack of time I will not do anything for that.
Really? I was hoping it could be something simple like doing a if statement to collect the data on the first post of each topic then post it for said topic.

You should check if you cleared template cache as well as imageset cache.
RogueRanger wrote:been done, now we get a great big error thing when we give rep???

after you rep, another blank window opens with this
If the last then installation went wrong. You should check if JQeury and reputation.js are loaded.
Most probably you didn't edit your header template properly. Double check this.

Good afternoon, Pico.

I.
I like this mod, but I couldn't install it. Can you help?
I test mod on clean test board (premodded seo pack from phpbb-seo.com) and it works good.

But in my another local board it does not work:
in normal when I place cursor on increas reputation button on myself topic this button is not highlighted, but in problem board this button is marked as active.
And the main problem is that when user increse or reduce reputation he will get an error:

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
II.
Can you make such button for your mod?

Citromon: I'll check your board after I'm back from the vacation (after 4th Aug).
Meanwhile you can check if JQUery is duly loaded and Javascript reputation.js is loaded properly.

They are responsible for proper buttons functioning.

For some reason once I installed your mod everything went good except on the post area where the avatar and user information is instead of "Reputation: #" it just shows "{ Reputation }" , it shows the correct info on the actual user page but not on posts, what can I do to fix this?

Plz attach a screenshot.

Citromon
Can you make such button for your mod?
You can make buttons in Photoshop, upload them to the imageset. Then make adjustments in reputation.css
Let me know ifyou still have problems with this mod, I'm back from the vacation and can have a look.

Whenever I enable AJAX, clicking reputation button results following unformatted screen.

Image

Is there anything that I need extra for proper functioning of AJAX?

You didn't install it properly!
Open overall_header.html and find

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_CONTENT_DIRECTION eq 'rtl' -->
	<link href="{T_THEME_PATH}/bidi.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen, projection" />
<!-- IF S_REPUTATION and S_RS_AJAX_ENABLE -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="{T_SUPER_TEMPLATE_PATH}/reputation/reputation.js"></script>
<!-- ENDIF -->

<!-- ENDIF -->
Replace with:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_CONTENT_DIRECTION eq 'rtl' -->
	<link href="{T_THEME_PATH}/bidi.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen, projection" />
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF S_REPUTATION and S_RS_AJAX_ENABLE -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="{T_SUPER_TEMPLATE_PATH}/reputation/reputation.js"></script>
<!-- ENDIF -->

Great work on this mod. I'm trying to implement in my site at http://www.yosefscabin.com/mountaineermessageboard

I believe everything installed correctly and I manually made the changes to the proFormell template files as well as copied over the images and reputation.css file. I can't get my thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to show or work so that people can give reputation points. I'm sure it's my error - but can you help me out here?

Thanks.

*EDIT* The "Rate User" works correctly (I think) but rating a post does not.

I did read the whole topic (all 35 pages). My forum permissions are set up correctly.
