Just thought I'd mention these as possible way of adding an iCal service to this calendar mod in the future.

Mickroz wrote:ive got it working to add events to the calendar, but since you cannot change much (im not familiar with json and such) i going to create a separate page for admins/moderators (kinda simple moderator panel) and a my events page, where you can see the events you added and can edit/delete them.
Any news on these nice additions?
Thanks to both of you,

haven't been doing much work on the calendar lately, need to get a other job done first, and then get back on the calendar.

I actually had some spare time today and worked on this mod.
Permissions
  • Users viewing the calendar
  • Users adding events
  • Users editing events
  • Users deleting events
  • Moderators editing events
  • Moderators deleting events
  • Admin can manage categories
Calendar
  • Showing events
  • Showing private events
  • Showing birthdays
Posting
  • Posting events
  • Editing events
  • Deleting events
ToDo
  • Create My page
  • Create admin category page
  • Use of cache
  • auto delete events older then x months/days
  • show upcoming events on index
this is about it what im doing, i won't be adding features unless i think they are usefull, and then again, it wouldn't be a simple calendar anymore :P

Hello!

I've installed it on my forum but nothing happens.
It simply gives me a page with anything inside.
Here it is: http://www.ferrovie.info/forum/calendar.php

Where do I wrong?

I use phpbb 3.0.10 and I've left the original events in simple_calendar/events.js
Thx!

Did you refresh your Themes and Imagesets via the ACP?

I sent you a PM. It's the javascript files from my dev/demo site.

Replace the ones you have in your phpbb root/simple_calendar directory with the ones that I sent you.

Let me know...

Really don't understand why.
It sees the button, and also loads calendar.php but doesn't show anything :cry:

We'll figure it out... Just have to go through everything step by step.

Let me check a couple of things... I'll post back.

In your overall_header.html file, make the following edit (then Refresh your Templates and Themes):

Find:

Code: Select all

<!-- SIMPLE CALENDAR MOD BEGIN -->
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}/simple_calendar/fullcalendar.css' />
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}/simple_calendar/fullcalendar.print.css' media='print' />
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}/simple_calendar/gcal.js'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}/simple_calendar/fullcalendar.min.js'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}/simple_calendar/events.js'></script>
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}/simple_calendar/simple_calendar.css' />
<!-- SIMPLE CALENDAR MOD END -->

Replace With:

Code: Select all

<!-- SIMPLE CALENDAR MOD BEGIN -->
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}simple_calendar/fullcalendar.css' />
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}simple_calendar/fullcalendar.print.css' media='print' />
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}simple_calendar/gcal.js'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}simple_calendar/fullcalendar.min.js'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='{ROOT_PATH}simple_calendar/events.js'></script>
<link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' href='{T_THEME_PATH}simple_calendar/simple_calendar.css' />
<!-- SIMPLE CALENDAR MOD END -->
