In the current version is not possible but I'll keep that in mind for future versions.
In this version you can assign only some users for view the room (No need to add an entire group)

I don't really see the point of that.
Right now like Canidev said you can assign a Room to Specific People only which in my opinion is better than having to enter a password.

Because a password can be shared like anything meaning it is not secure at all.

How would I be able to put this on a separate page away from the index!?

Go to Manage Pages (under .MODs > Chat) and from there you can add a page

I have a few issues I'd like to list, maybe somebody can help me. I installed the latest version without any errors, applied changes to my style. I use SE_Square which is mainly based on prosilver.

My webpage for reference is here.

============================UNSOLVED==================================
1. I did not found a possibility to let the Guests only view the chat without any interaction. The mod asks them to choose a nickname. So I had to disable the chat for quests.
=====================================================================================

============================SOLVED==================================
2. My archive looks really wierd.

=====================================================================================

============================UNSOLVED==================================
3. Private conversation sessions are not saved.

If both me and my partner closes the window, and reopen it, we haven't got the history anymore.
=====================================================================================

============================SOLVED==================================
4. A small graphical error. Somehow the chat doesn't fit in, like the other tables, see the part in the red circle: http://gyazo.com/6fd9d8f90d87d4820eed39504ffc1568
=====================================================================================

============================SOLVED==================================
5. The dedicated chat page simply not showing the chat for me.

=====================================================================================

=====================================================================================

Suggestion:

- Is it possible, to have an ability to keep the users' session alive until they leave the page, and when they left it, they disappear from chat? Similar to RMcGirr83's mod (or have an addon for it).

- Mute certain rooms.

Any help would be much appriciated!

Hi,

To solve the point 1 and 3 is neccessary to add some changes in the php chat files.
I will do it as soon as possible for you.

Thanks Canidev!

A few reports arrived that sometimes when you send a message it just doesn't go through even though the sender can see it, and when you refresh the page it's not there anymore. I experienced it 2 times too.

Also I noticed another thing: It appears the chat ignores the date format settings in ACP.

Few more suggestion:

- Word wrapping
- To stop chat bumping to the top when a new message arrives (makes hard to read older messages, unless you press archive)

I can't find this in my template's overall_header.html:

<li class="icon-faq"><a href="{U_FAQ}" title="{L_FAQ_EXPLAIN}">{L_FAQ}</a></li>

So, I can't add this line of code <!-- IF U_CHAT --><li class="icon-members"><a href="{U_CHAT}" title="{L_CHAT}">{L_CHAT}</a></li><!-- ENDIF -->

Is it needed for the shoutbox to function!?
