If you use the phpBB3 template system, there is a {U_LOGIN_LOGOUT} variable you can use. Otherwise, just link to the registration page. That’s out of the realm of support for this MOD though.

All the "Referral" Features are working. The Invitation features will be available in the next release.

There are several tutorials in the Knowledge base http://www.phpbb.com/kb on how to install a MODX MOD and how to install MODs.
You can read those.
To install the MOD, simply open the .xml file, it contains installation instructions.

Yes, that’s part of the invitation half of the referral invitation MOD.

I don’t think so, as long as the Referral functionality is working. That is the user types in the username of the user who referred them, while in the registration page, and it will credit that user with the referral.
It will display the users' referrals in the memberlist and viewprofile.

Yes, there is more to the MOD, but No, it’s not available yet.
At the moment, that pretty much sums up the MOD. -- The features all listed in the first post will be included in the MOD, but not every one of those features will appear in the first BETA version.

It’s one and both, actually.
It’s just the "referred" features at the moment, the "invite" features, which you refer to, are a coming soon feature.

do you have to put "who invited you" on the forum registration page cuz i dont use it
i use my joomla site registration for people to join both the site and forum at the same time

This mod does NOT work with Handyman's cash mod...ask him for what other mods the cash mod works with...not here

No, you do not have to enter a name upon registration. It's just there to allow people to enter your name to show that you referred them and in the end, at this point anyway, it basically just keeps track with how many people have used your username as a referral.
