Yeah, I'm using the 2.8.3 version.

This is the code:

Code: Select all

// Finally -- show the page!
if ( (!defined('WPU_REVERSE_INTEGRATION')) && (empty($wpuNoHead)) ) {
	$template->assign_vars(array(
		'WORDPRESS_BODY' => $retWpInc,
		'WP_CREDIT' => sprintf($wpuAbs->lang('WPU_Credit'), '<a href="http://www.wp-united.com" target="_blank">', '</a>'))

Are my users suppose to have access to the admin area of the word press when they login to the word press to create/add/edit their own blog?

Users also cannot select a theme to use for their blog. These two errors come up in the forum admin CP for the wp-united settings:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /wordpress/wp-content/themes/atahualpa342/functions/bfa_get_options.php on line 13: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()

Fatal error: Call to a member function getOption() on a non-object in /xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/forum/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/members-list/tern_wp_members.php on line 91

I notice a few problems with this thing...

1) After I visit my site from Wordpress ADMIN panel, I'm logged out
2) The post advertised the ability of users having their own blog... I allowed that in Permissions and when I was using the WIZARD, but the problem is... the blog is only one... just every user has access to it.

Is there a way to fix both of those? Especially number 2?

Ditto. I'm just going to uninstall this and cross my fingers for its future.

I have my forum set up as a subdomain (http://forum.starwarsnexus.net) I'd like to install Word Press on the main domain (http://www.starwarsnexus.net), and integrate the forum and the word press. However, I don't want the word press showing up in my forum header and footer. I also want my members to have their own blogs. Can this be done?
Please read through the instruction manual and features.

Yes, you can do it without a WordPress header and footer. However, they need to be on the same subdomain.

My forum is located on my domain domain.com, but I want the blogs to be as a sub-domain blog.domain.com and I would like to use this union tool to integrate the wordpress inside of phpBB... is that possible? I think the first post said this is not possible, but features could have changed after a number of releases and that could have being forgotten to be changed... that post is quite long :lol:

Thanks for this great MOD...
Hello, the forums and blogs need to be on the same subdomain.

This is your theme's associated plugin causing issues. I can try to improve compatibility in a future release. For now, try a different theme, or disable phpBB-in-WordPress template integration.

Yes, that is how it works. However, it only looks like on eblog to you because you are the admin. To the individual users, it looks like they have their own blog.

How about the first bug I reported? The fact that I log out after I leave the wordpress' admin panel? Don't think that is supposed to happen.

I would like to use this mod because it sounds great.

The best option to me is that WordPress can appear inside of phpBB header and footer.
I have not used wordpress but I would like to have 3-4 blogs. In each news from diferent subjects would appear. Is that possible with one wordpress (3-4 blogs)?

Pages would look like this
The WP-United page is great example how I would like my page to look.

Where do I need to place phpbb3 and where wordpress so that my start site is like

www.my-site.com (and this would open first page with news) start page
www.my-site.com/index.php (this would be when I open my board)

Again WP-United is how I would like it to be. :)

I have done all the edits (2 times checked)

i have this problem when I open blog.php
http://i26.tinypic.com/5umoow.jpg

I have removed header form wordpress (no point having 2).

but the colors, header and footer from phpbb3 are not loading right.

This is probably CSS problem.
But where do I even start?

I am testing offline with my site.
phpbb3 is in root and wordpress is in wordpress folder in root
so wordpres adress is like

localhost/mysite (this is phpbb3)
localhost/mysite/wordpress (this is wordpress)

blog.php is in root ot site
localhost/mysite/blog.php

It's not, but please ensure you've read through the user manual (here: http://www.wp-united.com/releases/user-manual) and integrated your user properly. Understand that logging into WordPress takes place through blog.php, with phpBB acting as the login master. It's not clear from your message what you are being logged out of -- WordPress or phpBB, and what exactly you did to trigger behaviour. "Leave" isn't clear enough for me to investigate further.

After all the above, if you are still having problems, even after clearing your cookies, then look into your cookie settings. Does your phpBB cookie path cover your WordPress directory? If so, then try turning on the root cookie option in wp-united/options.php.

It looks to me like you didn't install the mod to your template files.

I've just posted an update on WP-United v0.8, together with a write-up on the exciting new template integration system.

You can see it here: http://www.wp-united.com/2009/08/12/wp- ... te-system/
