Post by themediaguy »

Hello,

I am trying to install WP-United: WordPress Integration on the latest build of Wordpress. I got the wizard up and running and are filling out the fields correctly. When i try to go from the 3rd to 4th step within the wizard it just takes me to a blank page, no errors. Any idea whats happening?

I've been trying to install wp-united but unfortunately, after hitting the "Continue to step 5" button I'm getting a blank page. According to the logs, this is the problem.

"Call to undefined function update_option()"

I've checked all the files, and this function only seems to be in wp-includes/functions.php. So, I am assuming that wp-includes/functions.php should have been included at some point, but didn't (there was no error message however). I tried to include it manually, but not surprisingly, that didn't fix the installation but produced new errors instead.

I'm using 0.7.1. Any ideas?

I just fixed my issue. As a general recommendation, keep in mind that ANY customization you made to Wordpress (not just plugins) can break WP United. So if you run into issues, my recommendation is to temporarily upload an unmodified version of Wordpress and see if you can make things work that way. If you can, you already know which tree to bark up at.

You can see it here: http://www.wp-united.com/2009/08/12/wp- ... te-system/
Sounds awesome!
In the meantime is it possible that there are some minor changes required for Wordpress 2.8.4?
Either that or we site-owners should avoid auto-updating because when I do my blog doesn't load. Have any advice on this?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi hi ~!

I installed this mod! and it worked fine, it's really wonderful *o*!!!.... but when I tried to move and rename the route "blog.php" to my root site, was wrong ;___;... Now, this message appear:

Code: Select all

ERROR!
The path is incorrect. If you have moved blog.php from its standard location, you need to open it and provide the path back to phpBB where indicated. Please do this now and then run the WP-United Setup Wizard again.
How can I fix this?
Help me please ;w;!

Hello,

I did a sucessfull installation of WP-UNITED RC1, blog and forum are connected, is great but....

I added in the sidebar of my blog "Archives" and "Categories". The links don't work, when I click I see a blank screen.

For instance, there is one category in th slidebar called "news", it belongs to one post written and published. The link is:

......./CTN/blog.php?cat=3

but when I click the link converts into .........../CTN/blog.php/?cat=3 and I see a blank screen.

Same for Archives, months.

Where is the problem? My blog link is:

...../CTN/blog.php

I put WP-united in debug mode to see the errror:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /var/www/html/CTN/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 865: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /wp-united/wp-integration-class.php:690)

Just found your great mod and excited to integrate phpbb in wordpress :)

But I'm not sure, if I should wait for version 0.8. Can you give a hint on roughly when you're planning to release it? A couple of weeks or months? That would already help me!

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work! :)

Hi!

I have a problem. I installed wp-united with phpbb 3.0.5 and wp 2.8.4.

It seems to work fine. When an user logins it creates the user in wp.

But, when an user tries to post a comment, it says "Sorry, you must be logged in to post a comment.". Even when you are logged in!

I saw other people with the same problem or very similar, but no solution.

As promised, WP-United v0.8 is now available for preview.

This is a beta release intended for final testing before release, and is not intended for production sites.

If all goes well, the final v0.8 (RC2) will be released within the week.

I must apologise for the delay in putting this up -- as usual, life has been busy.

There are two new features in particular I would like feedback on: The new automatic template integration (CSS Magic & Template Voodoo), and the new "plugin workarounds" option.

To get hold of the new version, please check it out from out SVN repository, here .
