Ok i manage the above by manually editing some files.

However, how do i change/delete the text 'Portal' which shows in browser tabs / header:

Thanks,
Carl

Is it possible to turn off the left side bar in the portal? I have looked in the acp but can't find this option.

Also, it it possible to reposition blocks?

Thanks,
Carl
You can, but not via the ACP. You need to look in the styles/prosilver (or your style)/templates/portal/ folder for the portal_body.html file. In there you'll find he sections for portal right side, portal centre, and portal left side, and the includes for the blocks in those sections.

If you want to totally remove the left side, just remove the entire portal left side section.
To reposition the blocks just cut and paste the sections from within the right or centre parts.

You should see what I mean when you look in the file. Pretty simple.

I've just done something similar here on my test site:

My "global announcements" block actually displays normal forum announcements, not global announcements. Is there any way to make it display global announcements instead?

Also, when I add forum numbers in the "Global announcements forum ID:" field in ACP, it doesn't seem to work, as the block still displays announcements from EVERY forum on the board.

Any ideas?
I have this same problems an getting no answer to fix it yet....

Same here. It appears to be a known bug but nobody knows how to fix this. Would be great if someone can come up with a solution.

For anyone who is interested, to change the page title, edit language/en/portal.php

Find:

Code: Select all

// General
	'PORTAL'				=> 'Portal',
Change to:

Code: Select all

// General
	'PORTAL' => 'INSERT YOUR PAGE TITLE HERE',

No, it was actually correct.

1.2.2 was released on 9th February 2008.

They just dropped the Alpha of 2.0.0 on the sever or wherever by mistake and then corrected.

GREAT MOD!!!

Would be better if blocks are movable :D

Would it be hard if I want to iframe something in the center section.

Anyway... This is great as it is now.

Blocks are very easy to move, just edit portal_body.html :D

Ok, I have just noticed a problem. I can not login from my portal. Every time I try it tells me incorrect username or password. Is this a known problem?

Thanx in advance
