I double-checked. Still does not work uploading pics as normal user. The admin can upload. :shock:

I have now found out that the groups-permission does not work.
If I grant a single USER permission to upload then it works. But not if I grant a group of users the permission.

What am I doing wrong?
Do I have to grant single users permission? Why does the group-permission not work?

I can't replicate your problem.
I know in b5 you have to manually add an upload folder in the garage folder.
You have to chmod the folder 775 or 777 depending on your host.

@ poyntesm
I don't mean to be a A$$ hole but....
Its now 3 weeks sense your last post and October, scene your last update or even login to http://www.phpbbgarage.com!

Should we assume you have abandoned your baby again!

Does some one need to step up and finish this for you?
If you not dedicated to finishing this I told you I would continue the development.
It seems that you only reason why you restarted development is because I wanted to take it over.

Let us garage fans know what your plains are!!!
Please....

Problem solved.
I granted the Registered Users group FULL access to the garage.
After that they where able to upload pics.
It was not enough to just tick the Allow pic upload-option.

I fixed this by removing a code change added when installing the garage. Affected file is memberlist.php

Code: Select all

// Get us some users :D
                $sql = "SELECT u.user_id, v.id as vid
                        FROM " . USERS_TABLE . " u
                                $sql_from
                        LEFT JOIN " . GARAGE_VEHICLES_TABLE . " v
                                ON (
                                        v.user_id = u.user_id AND v.main_vehicle = 1
                                )
                        WHERE u.user_type IN (" . USER_NORMAL . ', ' . USER_FOUNDER . ")
                                $sql_where
                        ORDER BY $order_by";
                $result = $db->sql_query_limit($sql, $config['topics_per_page'], $start);

Change this back to the original code

Code: Select all

// Get us some users :D
                $sql = "SELECT u.user_id
                        FROM " . USERS_TABLE . " u
                                $sql_from
                        WHERE u.user_type IN (" . USER_NORMAL . ', ' . USER_FOUNDER . ")
                                $sql_where
                        ORDER BY $order_by";
                $result = $db->sql_query_limit($sql, $config['topics_per_page'], $start);

I solve the problem with this change

poyntesm seems to be MIA
So I have created an "Unofficial" phpBBGarage Support Forum!!
http://www.phpbbgaragemod.com
The host is shared so at times its slow.

Here is the solution to Deleting Guestbook Comments in phpBBGarage version 2.0b4 & 2.0B5
http://phpbbgaragemod.com/bbbt/viewbug.php?b=5

Yes the garage_view_guestbook.html is missing.
The file "garage_view_guestbook.html" is no longer needed.
This is code left over from phpBBGarage for phpBB2.
It just has not been converted yet.

Here is the solution for Editing Guestbook Comments in phpBBGarage version 2.0B5
http://phpbbgaragemod.com/bbbt/viewbug.php?b=29

Also the guest book comments are tied into the "Vehicles Per Page" setting in the ACP
so what ever you have this set as it will only show that many comments.
Default is 30, so only 30 comments will show & it wont bump the oldest one.

I have been working on a solution for this also, but have not worked it out yet.

keep checking http://www.phpbbgaragemod.com as I should have a solution soon.
Enjoy!!
