Why we have to pay this mod on a open source board?
Noi:due corpi,due cuori,una sola anima,un unico grande sentimento ke può essere espresso da 2 sole grandi parole:Ti amo!

I have returned with a problem!

Whenever I try to send a PM within my forum, I get an error msg saying : your message has too few characters

...it doesnt! :( haha.

I tried sending many different messages, and they just won't send! This has only happened since I installed this mod

any ideas?

Another issues is that at times when you go to write a reply, pm - the page is very slugish.

If you scoll up and down on here, it moves fast. Sometimes on the board with the mod installed you get a kind of ripple slow motion effect.

NO, you don't have to pay for this MOD. It's free for everyone to use.

I think you're missing the code onSubmit="return get_hoteditor_data();" - You have to put this code inside form tag like this:

Code: Select all

<form onSubmit="return get_hoteditor_data();" ...>
Try to review the MOD instruction text file again.

Thank you for the reply! But I forgot to mention that I am using the subSilver2 Style, and thus I made the modifications from the included files and applied to them to my current style files.

Sorry for my idiocy! But I am unsure where I add the line of code and to which files :oops: :oops:
If anyone has an idea please let me know! :)

You can go inside Admin CP tab POSTING - under Messages click BBCodes then add new [BLOCKQUOTE]
But I am unsure where I add the line of code and to which files
subsilver2\template\posting_body.html
subsilver2\template\ucp_header.html

Just use text editor to open those files above and search for keyword return get_hoteditor_data() - Remember to use Admin CP to clear subsilver2 template cache before making any test.

Well, I couldn't figure out what I did wrong -- it all seemed to match, but instead I copied the included verson of those files right to the styles folder on my host ;) The only reason I didn't do that befoer was because I did not want to remove previous mods, but hey -- they werent that important!

Thanks for the support & great mod, emax!

For those who are running this MOD please update as soon as you can. The latest update (June 16, 2007) will support Safari 3 and also add new "Insert Table" feature + fix some minor bugs. Below is what you need to do to get the update:
- Go back to my site http://ecardmax.com/ehelpmax/download.php to download HotEditor MOD zip file for phpbb again.
- Unzip the zip file and use FTP to upload these files (and folder) below to your server (to replace the current files/folder)
+ [richedit]/[styles]/[office2007]/*.*
+ [richedit]/editor.js
+ [richedit]/keyboard.php
If you want to support Table, then use text editor to open file common.php
FIND CODE

Code: Select all

//HotEditor MOD
function BBCodeToHTML($text){
	$patterns[] = "#  #si";
	$replacements[] = '&nbsp;&nbsp;';

	$patterns[] = "#\t#si";
	$replacements[] = '&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;';

	$patterns[] = "#\[(sub|sup|strike)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<$1>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(sub|sup|strike)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</$1>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[font=(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<span style="font-family:$1;">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[highlight=(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<span style="background-color:$1;">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(font|highlight)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</span>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[hr\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<hr class=HR_Color>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[(left|center|right|justify)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<div align="$1">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(left|center|right|justify)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</div>';

	$text = preg_replace($patterns, $replacements, $text);

	return $text;
}
REPLACE WITH

Code: Select all

//HotEditor MOD
function BBCodeToHTML($text){
	$patterns[] = "#  #si";
	$replacements[] = '&nbsp;&nbsp;';

	$patterns[] = "#\t#si";
	$replacements[] = '&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;';

	//Support Table here
	$patterns[] = "#\[table\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<table style="border-collapse: collapse;border-spacing: 0px;border: 1px solid #6CAFF7;background-color: #F4F4F4;width:98%;font-family:Verdana,Arial,Sans-Serif,Tahoma;font-size:12px;color: black;">';
	$patterns[] = "#\[\/table\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</table>';
	$patterns[] = "#\[td\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<td style="height:25px; border: 1px solid #6CAFF7">';
	$patterns[] = "#\[\/td\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</td>';
	$patterns[] = "#\[tr\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<tr>';
	$patterns[] = "#\[\/tr\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</tr>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[(sub|sup|strike)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<$1>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(sub|sup|strike)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</$1>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[font=(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<span style="font-family:$1;">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[highlight=(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<span style="background-color:$1;">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(font|highlight)(.*?)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</span>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[hr\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<hr class=HR_Color>';

	$patterns[] = "#\[(left|center|right|justify)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '<div align="$1">';

	$patterns[] = "#\[\/(left|center|right|justify)\]#si";
	$replacements[] = '</div>';

	$text = preg_replace($patterns, $replacements, $text);

	return $text;
}
That's all you need to do. Remember Hoteditor will try to correct the missing tag, you're safe to use Insert Table feature (I'm not guarantee it will auto close missing tag 100% - pls use with your own risk).

Re-download HotEditor MOD zip file again, unzip it and look inside folder [Hoteditor V4.2 for phpBB 3 RC1 Update from V.3.0]. The instruction is inside.

Test HotEditor latest update with phpbb3 here http://ecardmax.com/hoteditor_forums/phpbb3x
