Thanks Alot,
Ken
The shop mod that I'm developing includes a lottery ticket item. It works like a scratch-off ticket, and as such isn't a 'real' lottery, drawing numbers and everything. I'll probably end up integrating something like that into my mod later.

I installed the mod (WOOHOO!) so thanks for the help. But havin a slight glitch - when I go into my (admin) UCP and click on Bank - it says:
"You must select a user to manage."
Can somebody clue me in?

To manage a users cash at this point in time, you need to click on the users cash in viewtopic and then you can administrate the user. Handyman is improving the Bank with his next release.

Re: [BETA] Cash Mod 0.3.2 permissions

Post by ibidibuyisell »

Ok I've read the 3 million posts to both this thread and the cash mod thread on Handyman's site. I see a LOT of people saying the cash doesn't increase with the posts. I see the same response (which is to make sure you set the permissions) and then the same question back about HOW DO YOU SET THE PERMISSIONS. :D Handyman gave a hint in saying "look at the permissions"..but please..can someone please be specific about what permissions to set and how? pretty please?

Thank you Saffleur!... but I did that..was thinking there was yet another place I had to go or was missing something. So the permission are set for Admin, Moderators and Users. Still not accruing cash. Any suggestion now?

Ok I figured it out. I had to manage my permissions individually because I was listed in the Manage User section of the forum permissions. I'm posting this in case the other person who asked hasn't checked that part as well. Thanks again Saffleur.

BOM, try using PSPad or Notepad++.

Notepad++ is what I use and it saves without a BOM on UTF-8 by default. On PSPad you'll need to uncheck a box.

ok! heres the problem.

cash wont display in profiles, or normal fields, and i cannot locate it anywhere else, but there are no errors.

i installed another mod today properly (no errors), but i cant get it to show up neither, so im guessing it's a similar issue, what CHMOD should files be set to? also i have to set things to 777 (instead of 755) on my server for alot of things due to a custom program we run, maybe thats the issue? if so, what files if u got a idea? ;)

Are there any completed Shop Mods that are compatible with this cashmod?
