I just wanted to thank easygo for his help with this project. I'm looking into adding some of his suggested changes here into a new version... if it ever gets updated in the cvs -.-

Ok i want to do something and i cant found it anywhere, if there is wrote it already please point me there coz i cant.
Ok what i wanna do is give a special nick color to different groups of the forum, the problem with the auth method that ajax chat use to customize colors into admin, moderator and common users, its useless if you wanna assign color to people who is not admin, not comon user, but let say... its a VIP person, and i want it to have a different colour on that. CAn you please help me and tell me how to do this? i know maybe takes a lot of changes. But i really wanna do that, other people did it in another forum versions but i cannot make it for phpbb 3. Thank you in advance!

First of all, great mod, the install was insane.... 1 Click and you are done. I have added the "shoutbox" to my forums and its working perfectly as well. I now want to add that same shoutbox to my website homepage. www.site.com/forum/chat is my chat location. So basically I want this shoutbox placed right at www.site.com on the main body. What do I need to change in order to get the shoutbox working on the non-phpbb location. Thanks!

Sounds as if you need the Standalone version

But I need the shoutbox to be linked to the existing one on my forums. So I just need the correct code to link to the forum/chat/shoutbox file. It shouldnt be a separate deal.

Very well done!

Is there a way to have the /Roll function expended a bit?
For instance, adding a modifier to a dice would go a long way to make this more RPG friendly...
I.e. /roll 1d20+4 would return (12+4)=16

The second ability which would cover much, would be the ability to 'list' multiple rolls in the same line:
i.e. /roll 1d20+4;1d8+2 would return (12+4)=16;(8+2)=10

That would really be awesome!

RiTz21
I posted an official request on their website for this functionality...

That should be quite simple. You could do it before I have the time to, I'm sure! ;)

Everything is working perfectly, thanks but 1 problem..
When i am trying to remove anybody's message, it comes with a Phrase like this :
(00:52:06) ChatBot: Error: Connection status: 0

Any idea why is that happening ?

Thanks alot,
Love the Chat

Searched, and couldnt find a way to remove the Channels (Forum Categories) for a new version... Is there any ways ? because i checked a way on page 4-5, and on page 62.. And those edits was for older version, because i couldnt find such piece of source..
All i would like, is to have 1 channel, Public.. Thats it..
What do i have to do.. ?

Thanks alot..

Open chat/lib/config.php in your text editor and find/replace

Code: Select all

$config['limitChannelList'] = null;
with

Code: Select all

$config['limitChannelList'] = array(0);
Hope it does the trick for you. :)

Yes, thanks that did the trick... :D
Thank you very much..

And btw, in the Chat Login Page, can i put a logo Somewhere in the Middle of the page before the word Username and the Field ?
Example :

Image

THanks..

EDIT :
Now i found a different problem...
If in Username and Password Fields i put random stuff, and click Log in it says -
Not Found

The requested URL /ucp.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_perl/2.0.3 Perl/v5.8.8 Server at chat.g-thang.net Port 80
So this chat isnt connected with a accounts table in database ?
another words, i cant use the accounts from the database in the log in chat ?

Yes, you can! Don't disappoint me. :)

Just take a look into the body of files like chat/lib/template/loggedOut.html
and play something around in order to figure it out by yourself.

Looks like a wrong declared phpBB path to me, most likely in chat/lib/custom.php
