Padz wrote:Hi,
at first i'm sry about my english, because i'm German.

My Problem:

When I edit the /lib/config.php file, I get an error like this:

Code: Select all

at /chat/lib/config.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /chat/lib/class/AJAXChatHTTPHeader.php on line 36: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /chat/lib/config.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /chat/lib/class/AJAXChatHTTPHeader.php on line 37: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /chat/lib/config.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /chat/lib/class/AJAXChatHTTPHeader.php on line 41: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /chat/lib/config.php:1)
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /chat/lib/class/AJAXChatHTTPHeader.php on line 45: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /chat/lib/config.php:1)
In this example I edit this line:
$config['limitChannelList'] = null;

to this
$config['limitChannelList'] = array(0,1,2);

And these IDs exist!

It is equal whether I edit the languages, so that you can choose only German and English, or chosse only between two themes.
This error above always appears.

Looks like you made a bad choice regarding your text editor! I would suggest to use Notepad++

http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/de/site.htm

or similar instead, before you try again // by starting from the scratch. :idea:

Hi,

First, Thank you for this great mod, I appreciate the functionnality and the design. Work perfectly on my forum.

Only one think, I don't fine the way to set the time to GMT-1 (Time of brussels, paris)

I tried this below without success

// Defines the timezone offset in seconds (-12*60*60 to 12*60*60) - if null, the server timezone is used:
$config['timeZoneOffset'] = -1*60*60;

The error message is saying that the ajax_chat_online table doesn't exist. Perhaps you forgot to run the install?

To what end? IMHO both are using GMT+1 as their time zone. :? Also note that usually there is no need
to set a time zone offset, except when the server is located in another time zone than your own.

Um, what's the difference between latest and newest post?

It's exactly my problem, my server is in USA and my members are in Europe :D If there is a way to show the Paris Time, welcome.

2 others questions

1- Is there is a way to show a AJAX icon front of the word "Chat"?
2- Is there is a way to display the last 10 messages and the shootbox on top of my phpbb3 forum?

Thank you in advance.

Should not be a problem, as long as your page (PHP/Apache) is located
in the same time zone as your SQL server. Otherwise, if there are wrong date
times displayed to all clients, tell me the major offset in secs.

1) Yes :) just open the relevant AJAX Chat template file (see chat/lib/template/)
and then find/change e.g. this line // following xhtml specifications

Code: Select all

			<h1>[LANG]title[/LANG]</h1>
2) I'm not sure what you mean. Anyway, you could add the shoutbox to wherever
you want, e.g. to the overall_header.html, overall_footer.html, index_body...

i've done the following changes to the config.js :

autoFocus: true,
autoScroll: true,
dateFormat: '[%d.%m. - %H:%i:%s]',

other changes only happened in the config.php

And another hint for the problem:

After posting a message in the chat the newest massage appears at the bottom of the chat window not on the top where the previous post is listet. After pressing F5 or leaving and entering the room again its standig where it should be.
But the problem with jump to the oldest post still exists.
The problem does not appear in the shoutbox.

ive added an image fromt the chat after posting. Image

Then you must have changed something more than this. I'm pretty sure, just because
the latest message should always be displayed at the very bottom by default
- right under the previous one! Means that the oldest message
should rather be at the top of your chatlist container.

Did you try something like that?

I trust not! It was just a shot in the dark and won't work this way.
