I'm still not sure what you talk about! :roll: Who are not showing where?

Are you searching for container things on the right hand side as
available in the chat window, or what does that mean?

Just not logged in? I don't know!

Just give it a shot! It's quite simple.
Am I correct in thinking this will add it as a shoutbox available on all the forum pages/posts/topics ect.

Would it be possible to add it to just a single forum, I have a general chat forum which would benefit, my other forums wouldn't.

Thanx in advance.
My sig should go here... but I've nowt so say

thats correct. those instructions show u how to add the shoutbox to the OVERALL_FOOTER, so it is displayed on every page!

If u wanna have the shoutbox just on e.g. the index-site, u just have to put the following code

Code: Select all

<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
<div style="font-size: 1.2em; margin-bottom: 20px;">{SHOUTBOX}</div>
<!-- ELSE -->
<div id="ajaxChatCopyright"><a href="https://blueimp.net/ajax/">AJAX Chat</a> &copy; <a href="https://blueimp.net">blueimp.net</a></div>
<!-- ENDIF -->
anywhere u want on the index_body.html

(ps.: as I see it, the shoutbox looks best placed exactly right BFORE the following code of index_body.html:)

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_BIRTHDAY_LIST and BIRTHDAY_LIST -->
	<h3>{L_BIRTHDAYS}</h3>
	<p><!-- IF BIRTHDAY_LIST -->{L_CONGRATULATIONS}: <strong>{BIRTHDAY_LIST}</strong><!-- ELSE -->{L_NO_BIRTHDAYS}<!-- ENDIF --></p>
<!-- ENDIF -->

I am slowly but surely getting this installed as a shoutbox on my first phpBB forum. Thanks so much! I've learned a lot reading through here and managed a few changes I needed to make. :D

I have one question: is there a way to change the scroll order, so that the new chats show on top and the older ones are pushed underneath? Instead of the default scrolling up from the bottom?

TIA!

Well, since I really wanted the feature #1 I requested, I implemented it on my copy of the chat mod...

Example:
/roll 2d6+12 returns:
(21:12:03) ChatBot: (admin) rolls 2d6+12 and gets [6,4]+12=22.

If anyone else needs this, lemme know and I'll share

Very well done!

Is there a way to have the /Roll function expended a bit?
For instance, adding a modifier to a dice would go a long way to make this more RPG friendly...
I.e. /roll 1d20+4 would return (12+4)=16

The second ability which would cover much, would be the ability to 'list' multiple rolls in the same line:
i.e. /roll 1d20+4;1d8+2 would return (12+4)=16;(8+2)=10

That would really be awesome!

RiTz21
I posted an official request on their website for this functionality...

Hello,

I just installed the shoutbox integration on an acidtech forum, now the background is white but I'd really like to have the shoutbox in the subblack theme. Any idea how I have to change the shoutbox.css to accomplish that?

This is a great piece of software, my users really like it! :) And so do I ;)

Grtz,

Nic

In your text editor :mrgreen: color by color, taking subblack2.css as example to have something to go on.

For the record,here's the relevant code from my copy of chat/lib/class/AJAXChat.php:

Code: Select all

    function insertParsedMessageRoll($textParts) {
        if(count($textParts) == 1) {
            // default is one d6:
            $text = '/roll '.$this->getUserName().' 1d6 '.$this->rollDice(6);
        } else {
            $diceParts = explode('d', $textParts[1]);
            if(count($diceParts) == 2) {
                $number = (int)$diceParts[0];
                $sides = (int)$diceParts[1];

                // Dice number must be an integer between 1 and 100, else roll only one:
                $number = ($number > 0 && $number <= 100) ?  $number : 1;

                // Sides must be an integer between 1 and 100, else take 6:
                $sides = ($sides > 0 && $sides <= 100) ?  $sides : 6;

                $text = '/roll '.$this->getUserName().' '.$number.'d'.$sides.' ';
                for($i=0; $i<$number; $i++) {
                    if($i != 0)
                        $text .= ',';
                    $text .= $this->rollDice($sides);
                }
            } else {
                // if dice syntax is invalid, roll one d6:
                $text = '/roll '.$this->getUserName().' 1d6 '.$this->rollDice(6);
            }
        }
        $this->insertChatBotMessage(
            $this->getChannel(),
            $text
        );
    }

Should be pretty simple to change...
