It seems the author of this mod is somewhere out of there.. :)

Well... After reading all messages I see it's not so difficult to create this mod. And it's to automate email users creation on my CPanel hosting. But...

First of all we must keep in mind some basic security questions:
We have to disable "autocreation" for such email accounts right now after phpBB users registration to avoid spammers to be able to use our forum's webmail for spamming.
Thought it might be some sort of "autogroup" and/or admin's approving on each email account creation request.
Next step must be to limit email sending frequency for, say, one (or more ;) ) per hour.

The problem with user names changing (if you need it to be enabled) might be resolved using user ID as first part of email address. So my email at mydomain.com forum might be 123456@mydomain.com, but not sav1812@mydomain.com.

P.S. I just don't understand why do you need such webmail integrated on your forums.. :)
Why do you need it?

This would be awesome. I would use this for sure.

But most importantly, any chances of giving users their own email addresses?

See this script: http://www.zubrag.com/scripts/cpanel-cr ... ccount.php

It allows you to use PHP to create a cPanel email.
